Reminder you’re allowed to disagree, but directly attacking others is prohibited.
Saying someone is wrong is attacking someone now? Really?
For example: Their almost complete dismissal of any complaints about azerite power being useless once you max out your neck. They threw us one bone with bonus rolls, but every other source of AP is 100% useless. They’re purposefully ignoring the players so they don’t have to do anything more than what little they’ve already done.
That sure makes a snappy soundbite, but it lacks legitimacy.
Since it’s a discussion and un-provable: yes it is. That entire post has problematic elements. I understand what you’re saying but please consider softening how you’re saying it. You’re directly attacking two players. It comes off as being very disrespectful.
If your going to quote put it in context I hate people like you…
Layoffs and probably because anything they say wont be correct and will have to be walked back in someway.
They fired a lot of the community management and such a few months ago. Remember? Bobby and the other p’s os that are at the top got that big bonus that was originally the wages for people like the community managers.
LMAO seriously? Show me a company that does not communicate with their customers regularly that is thriving .
I’m not attacking anyone. It is provable.
We had a CM have an epic meltdown because of all the garbage on GD. Sortly after that, blues began posting less and less.
The vast majority of game developers don’t interact with their community.
Again I’m going to disagree on all points, one person not being able to step away and cooldown in a professional manner does not extrapolate or reflect overall.
Community engagement is critical in maintaining a fanbase to the point that companies pay very highly for it. Perhaps that no longer falls on the CM but marketing, but traditionally that was a core function of that job. If Blizzard has chosen to change that, that is their prerogative but I would suggest changing the title to “Forum moderator” in that case
Don’t tell the indie devs that are heavily engaged…
The only one in recent time I remember on the forums was the Yak, and even then he only responded to joke threads.
It wasn’t just one person though the one I mentioned just had the largest reaction, and ever since that time blues have been posting less and less. Then when they do try to do more, once again GD proves that it can’t handle it. It’s all relative, people get what they give. And yes this can all be proven.
The CMs do engage with the community, perhaps not in the way that people in this thread would like, but no one here dictates how they do their job.
Borrnak and Kaivax have been active on the forums.
Because they fired the only one that did
RIP Ythisens
Yeah, they kind of do. That’s their job. Even if it’s not in the fine print. That’s what you’re signing up to do if you chose to be the Face of a company dealing with it’s complaining customers.
Blizzard needs to learn from EA and what happened with Battlefront 2’s CM.
It went from the most downvoted comment on Reddit, with the most reviled game launch of modern times, boycotted and blacklisted to the point where within months of launch a AAA game by Dice and EA branded Star Wars was $5 on the official store. (Down from $70)
They admitted they were wrong, they apologized, they hired CM’s who could take a punch and started talking with the players about what went wrong where.
They still communicate daily on their own Forums, on Reddit, and on Discord directly with the playerbase.
The game’s recovered completely. And there’s no shortage of praise for the direction its now heading.
Players don’t like to be in the dark, especially when they’re sinking with a product they love. Blizzard needs to realize that. We’re here, and we’re angry, because we care.
My pleasure, Cursewords!

They still communicate daily on their own Forums, on Reddit, and on Discord directly with the playerbase.
Is this supposed to imply that Blizzard CMs aren’t, on average, also communicating daily?
Because every time a GM would say ANYTHING, their words would be twisted and misconstrued. Every word picked apart and thrown back in their face. They would be called liars (and worse), they would offer as much info as they were permitted to by their boss but that would never be enough. They would be screamed at, demeaned, and berated.
Admit it, wow’s community did this to themselves. Their turn over rate in those positions was through the roof. If I had to deal with the jerks around here, I’d quit too.
