May as well just remove all flirt emotes

I mean, this is a bunch of crap:

Some of these are the BEST flirts and jokes. What the hell Blizz?

How about instead of all this virtue-signaling crap, the actual employees who engaged in inappropriate office behavior apologize and resign?

Its as if the punishment is being shifted onto the game instead of the actual individuals from the lawsuit.

I mean like, there’s ways to flirt with people without sexual undertones

Not saying I agree with the removals, but don’t gotta get rid of flirting all together.

I say we remove flirting irl too.

Too many humans

there are, but many of these were funny/silly (and also the best ones) and shouldn’t have been taken out

female dwarves are only going to have 2 jokes.
they might as well go all the way and remove the remainder

Oh yeah I’m not saying I agree with them being taken out, just saying removing all flirts would be pretty drastic.

I’m gonna miss the mana wrym joke, RIP

& the Draenei “they are real, and they cut glass” joke is pretty much the equivalent of a dirty joke in spongebob that only the parents watching understand.

I love that one!~
I guess I’m just very annoyed at this change.
It really doesn’t do anything but appease the small (but vocal) minority of people that care.
Also, in no way helps ease their guilt with the lawsuit.

Macro them and use them still

Remove them all? Why? The ones that remain are perfectly fine.

The ones that were removed were problematic for a few different reasons. If you consider those to be the ‘best ones’ then maybe you need to re-evaluate your standards.

Give them time. They can only scrub so much of the game in a day.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone actually ask for these changes, to be honest.

That’s the thing about humor, it is subjective. The flirts are supposed to be funny.

It is sad to see this being taken this far. I loved the jokes and flirts. Oh well, I guess if they are going to wreck the game, they might as well “WRECK” the game.

Just because they’re funny to some, doesn’t mean they’re fit for a wide audience or appropriate at all.

Dark humour is funny to some, but start using dark humour in a wide crowd and you’ll get more people upset at you than laughing with you.

Racist humour is funny to some, but even though it’s funny to some, it’s completely inappropriate.

Them being ‘funny’ isn’t a good enough reason to keep them if they raise red flags elsewhere.

Tbh, the flirt emotes were always cringe and just a display of very flat irony, never made me laugh.

For immersion‘s sake I‘d even prefer if there were some proper flirt lines, i.e. compliments and such.

Yes they can be also about appearance, but „You armor looks tough, I bet my Sulfuras can penetrate it“ is just not gonna do it for anyone above 12. Hire some comedians ffs.

If you see the removal of a few jokes and slight changes to a couple emotes as punishment I don’t know what to tell you my guy

Blizzard staff asked for these changes. They literally explained why they made these changes.

the question is though, how much of this is going to mend the environment within the physical buildings that blizzard operates in? If the players are blocked from questionable interactions, how will that assist the real life living humans who are also subjected to questionable behaviour?

All of this stuff means nothing if blizzard employees are going to continue copping the raw end of other peoples creepiness and abusiveness.

The real life red flags that actually harm people will continue to flop around in the breeze while the video game we’ve played for a decade or more is suddenly watered down to a childs level

did you see that Gillette commercial? They made even walking up to someone to talk a bad thing.

With the exception of racist humor (because very few can actually pull it off) That’s why many don’t bother having comedy shows at universities. Uptight crowd and being a good clean comic is difficult.

Speaking of… so many people thought bob saget was a clean comic due to Full house. Boy were they wrong.

Why?

Why is none better than some?

Do you have any idea how childish and petulant that sounds?
