Hey, Ryecoke! Thank you for providing a WinMTR test. We’ve received some reports with VMedia tonight and high latency, as well as high delays when accessing the Blizzard Website.

How high is the latency going for the home and world in WoW? Would you be able to include a Looking Glass test as well to compare?

@Dianná, this may be a different issue than the one we’re seeing with Ryecoke. Would you be able to start a new thread, so that we can investigate the latency issues individually?

My latency for home is around 300-400ms. My latency for world has been around the 2500ms mark on average I’d say (The lowest I saw was 900ms, and the highest was 5000ms)

Thank you so much, Ryecoke! It sounds exactly what we’ve been seeing. Gone ahead and changed the thread to gain some traction to this issue. We’re currently gathering information on the issue now and gathering these tests to track the issue further!

I’m having the same issues. Completely unplayable. Lost a full day of Mythic progression because of it.

I have the same ISP as OP. I was told by GM Verendmos to reply to this thread.

Home latency is 150ms
World is 3541ms

Hey, all! I’m still monitoring the issue, but there’s been a small amount of reports so far, which makes this a bit more difficult to diagnose. All of the tests so far is showing packet loss on the arpa peering node, which should be the Internet Provider’s peering network. There isn’t much that we can do in terms of the ISP’s peering network, but has anyone had success with a different connection, or using a VPN to work around the latency spikes?

There’s been some reports from other ISP in the same region, so we’ll keep an eye on this as well if it’s relevant!

Hi Caterpepi, sorry for the late reply on this.

I actually tried using a VPN the same night as my initial report and it worked perfectly afterwards. I have basically been using it ever since because it’s actually BETTER latency than I remember having before this issue even started. Turning off the VPN is still playable the past few days, but with random lag spikes, and a lower average latency (the day of the report, it was completely unplayable.)

I may try to elevate this with my ISP directly, but in the past their customer service has been very basic (ie. turn off your modem, bypass your router, blah blah) wasting a whole lot of my time until someone actually acknowledges the real issue (and that assumes they actually provide meaningful feedback or a fix.)

I appreciate your help though!
