Just wondering if there’s any intention to add additional profession knowledge nodes in the future. Once you max out your trees, you’re still able to collect profession knowledge and will continuously get the pinging notification that you have profession knowledge to spend.
It’s probably just a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, but it does get old having to keep closing out the notification when there is literally nothing to spend these extra points on.
Same question, and I am hopeful as the next big releases come out they will include some more ways to spend points. My fear is that unspent points will “disappear” but things like journals and items that grant profession points will still get you points in the future. So I am a little worried about using those items now before I know if they will be wasted if I convert to points now.
I’ve maxed skinning profession, and closing in on tailoring (which is a beast).
I came here questioning the same things. Last thing I want to do is waste time collecting these points if not needed in the future, but don’t want to handicap myself by not collecting if there are plans to expand the specializations.
As for the constant ping when you are maxxed, it is quickly becoming more than a minor annoyance.
I am maxed in knowledge with my tailor/enchanter. I still gather the kp items every week because i have a use for the mettle. And since I can convert 10 knowledge into 25 mettle, I have even more a reason to get them. Same for alchemy and leather working.
On my engineer that barely has any orders and swims in mettle? Yeah I stopped the gathering. Miners too, probably jewelry and scribe.
