I would assume that once the player base inevitably gets smaller they will decrease layering before phase 2. That’s what I’d hope anyways lol

this buys them time to figure out phase2 player balancing strategies / tech solutions while letting people play the game. its the best case solution in the space they backed themselves into!

definitely the Pre. took me 3 hrs 15 min to get through that 3500 queue
Layering, from what I understand, isnt increasing server load. Its just to keep players in small tight quest regions from being packed as they are getting hit with the same level characters. This wont be an issue a month down the line as players will be spread throughout the zones
