Logged in 2 hours ago to a 4k queue and estimated wait time of 70 minutes. I’m thinking “OK, not too bad”.
2 hours later…
Estimated wait time of 44 minutes and still 2100 ahead of me. I’m guessing it’ll be another 2 hours before I get in.

I don’t understand how some individuals can’t comprehend the way paying for the exchange of goods and services works.
You can word it however you’d like. If I purchase a sub to World of Warcraft its specifically for Classic. I am being deducted funds from my bank account, for a service that this company is providing. It is not free, and if it ceases to receive support / exist, said company would stop receiving money from me.
It’s daunting trying to explain high school economics. lol

1PM Central time i logged on Stalagg to a 9k queue its been almost 4 hours and now am about #500 in queue .
You are talking to the same people who think when a politician says free college, they get excited about “free” college.

Do you think Blizzard would bill Classic this way? As a freebie addon service for which they are totally unaccountable?
Whiners need to get over their severe sense of entitlement and detachment from logic and reality and should mostly be quiet, but to claim that you’re any LESS entitled to support because you’re playing Classic instead of Retail seems baseless to me.

4k queue yesterday on Whitemane meant 6.5 hours in the queue despite the initial estimated time listed as 1.5 hours. And I thought I was being conservative planning my day around a 6 hour wait. lol
Imagine for just a moment if you will, that you had the brain power to think that… Players are making this a much worse scenario by abusing the system that blizzard has set in place to allow “fair use” of their services, of which you legally agree’d to when you handed them money.
Now lets carry this thought experiment further and say the people who are using unfair advantages to make it so others cannot enjoy an experience just so THEY Don’t have to wait their turn next time is some how fair… However the people who run the service, don’t agree and consider this an exploit… and Ban them…
Suddenly, tens of thousands of players who couldn’t play before… can now play
See we call this thought experiment, reality… People who exploit the system for gain, shouldn’t be allowed to use the system… It’s why Gold Selling/Buying from 3rd parties is bannable, why exploiting bugs intentionally is bannable… it’s why if you cheat other players in game, you can be banned…
Blizzards Job is to help remove unsavory characters who make the game worse for other players…

it’s been that way, but numbers in queue don’t seem to be going down any faster than before

I would suggest changing out the potatos and hampsters and installing lemons and squirrels.

Excited to read about the changes. I am now, however, still in queue 4 hours after I entered, having started with nearly 13000 people ahead of me. It seems there is more work to do to solve the problem. Thanks for the hard work, but please keep working for a more effective solution!
With the increased server capacity, do you expect any problems with the plans to permanently remove layering before the start of phase 2? Because it would be the death of classic go back on that promise due to claiming that the servers would be too crowded if layering was removed as promised. I would hate to see the complaining quelled now only to cause a mass exodus one month or so from now.
Please blue, let us know how this impacts those plans or at least alleviate the communitys new fears by letting us know that it wont. Thank you.
Oh and lastly wont this completely nullify any reason to still move to less crowded servers or potentially cause those that did to now abandon them and put them in precarious future positions.
Thanks for the thesis, I see your humongous brain is paying off. Maybe not enough for sufficient reading comprehension. I just said ban people breaking terms if you want. I highly doubt it’s such a huge portion of the people trying to get in that it’d have the gigantic impact you’re implying.
