Maximizing Imps and Demo help

I started playing with demo about 2 weeks ago and I am having a hard time with my priority. My current understanding is to get out as many imps as possible before tyrant. My questions are as follows.

  1. Lets say i have 10 imps out. Dread stalkers are ready for their instant proc and the vile fiend is off cooldown.

Should i cast the stalkers and Vile then cast tyrant or should I cast tyrant then the vile fiend and stalkers.

I know the timers on the imps is important for tyrant buff but is missing a couple imps worth the dps that the stalkers and Fiend put out?

  1. is it better to run vile fiend or soul strike?

To me, with the extra shard every 10 seconds i feel like i would be able to get just a little bit more from the tyrants BUT does the 15% longer life of the vile fiend and stalkers make up for the missing imps?

  1. general rotation and how the “ramp” works with Demo.

you get imps from hand of guldan, and you get some of them back with demonic core. is it best to stack 4 procs of demonic core then spam back and forth with hand of guldan or just spend demoinc core procs as quick as possible?

  1. The time on the imps is almost irrelevant as it doesnt always pertain to the energy of the imps.
  2. A good practice is to have the other demons out when you Tyrant to maximize your Tyrants ability.
  3. Personally not a big fan of imp sac playstyle but when I did run it for a time i would cap my shards summon vile, summon dread, HoG, if any left over shards exist HoG once more, then Tyrant.
  4. if your are running the essence that can randomly proc a tyrant if one spawns cast more HoG then Tyrant for maximum imp sac
  1. You should cast Vile Fiend and Dreadstalkers before HoG x2 since you want to summon Tyrant toward the end of Vile Fiend/Dreadstalkers to get the maximum extension of their lives.

  2. I always run Soul Strike. The mobility alone is worth it imo and the shard gen is just a bonus

  3. Pace your Demonic Core consumption so that you never overcap either 4x Core procs, or overcap on shards, or let your cores expire.

For example, if your tyrant is running out and you have 20 imps on the field you know that you will have 4 core procs coming in soon, so spend what you have as soon as you can.
