What is the name of the addon?
MaxDps Rogue is the name of the addon.
You can find it on CurseForge.
I’ve been using Hekili for the last 2 or 3 three tiers. Prior to that I used Hero Rotation for several years.
Rotations have gotten more complex over the past few expansions. It’s difficult to track everything that’s need for optimal DPS unless you have a helper add on of some sort.
Ya this Addon comes with a dps rotation helper, it just won’t highlight your defensives or buffs.
I was doing about 170k dps at 505 il before this addon, now I do up to 220k dps.
I highly recommend it.
you guys are not helping the case of x requires addon to play lol
Well, when you have to cram as much DPS as possible into short burst windows, you need something to help track all your DoTs’, buff, debuffs and CD’s.
10 years ago, you did 100% of your DPS with 3 or 4 main abilities and few cool downs. Now it takes 6-8 abilities and 4 or 5 cool downs that all have to be executed with precision timing.
Well, do what you must.
That said, at some point if you want to keep improving those training wheels should come off. If you don’t care thats fine
A good custom UI becomes a must as one progresses up the difficulties, set up in a way that frees up your attention to look elsewhere at your screen more reliably.
yea but a rotation helper is a whole new level of gameplay assistance
Not really. It’s just a specialized set of “weak auras”.
For years I used a few different addons to track various things. Then I started using Weak Auras which allowed me to consolidate some of my timers while adding more flexibility. Then I discovered rotation helpers. They basically do the same things all my other add ons were already doing, but more efficiently.
The difference between a good player and a no so good player is understanding why you press the buttons when they light up. On my rogue, I understand the abilities and how they interact. On my alts, not so much.
It’s harder to understand now than it’s ever been. It’s a real step backwards in design.
I already use Hekili, should I also download it?
