Max Progression without Dungeons/Raids

Hello,

How far can someone reasonably progress without doing dungeons or raids?

I left an Heroic Uldir with three remaining bosses last night because I suddenly came to the realization: I really don’t like this — in fact I hate it. The ONLY reason I’m there is in the hopes of getting some item to drop (for me) which will improve my iLvl. But that’s extremely unlikely, and in the meantime, all the waiting around, the cutesy (and off-color) chatter, the wipes, and just the length of the encounters themselves was driving me out of my gourd!

I don’t like being dependent on other people and I’ve enjoyed the process of first leveling, then progressing through wq and other objectives, particularly since that is a process which is almost always conducive to a flexible playing schedule — both logging-on times and play durations.

But, after just getting my 395 ring (which bumped me to iLvl ~372), is there really anything else to do, besides dungeons & raids, to improve my gear?

Sorry for the rant — and please understand that it is most definitely not directed at the game structure or at players who thrive on being part of a well-oiled team (or even a casual one) working towards increasingly difficult objectives. But I just feel like I’m sort of at a brick wall right now with no compelling or attractive alternative routes.

Thanks

Im confused by the question. Progress in what? What is the metric you wish to define as moving further than before?

Your ilvl? I think youre in the wrong game if you want ilvl dont want to raid or dungeon.

Shouldn’t play an MMORPG. But since you are why not level every class on both horde and alliance thats some good progression for ya

If you are talking about gear progression, check out this character.

iLevel 371 and I have never done a mythic dungeon or a normal or higher raid.

I don’t think progression means what you think it means?

Maybe he is confused and ment progresso? like he wants to know about a different flavor of soup?

I think the content with the least amount of other players involved that still has relevant gear rewards would be rated PvP arenas.

I don’t believe anything outside of world quests is truly a soloable experience that will get you gear upgrades.

warfronts are “solo” content

world boss been dropping 390 azerite pieces for a few weeks now

with titanforging, sky is the limit baby
