Anyone know the max screen resolution supported during the classic beta?
I’m wondering if it will be decent on a 55-60" TV for fellow nerds that have a gaming rig connected to their living room PC and keyboard / couch setup.
Same as BfA, AFAIK. You’ll definitely see the pixelation on a big enough screen though. Simply because the textures aren’t high enough resolution.
Given that it runs on a modified modern client, it should support 4k and higher. Though that’s dependent on how high of a resolution your screen can go.
As far as looking good on a large TV, the game’s textures are going to be that of the 2004 game. You’ll see pixelation even on a regular PC monitor because there is only so much that screen resolution can do with textures from a decade and a half ago.
The game supports any resolution you can (realistically) throw at it.
On a big screen, pixel density matters…

It was running at 2880x1800 on my MBP. Whatever resolution is available in the retail client will be available on the Classic client.
I played the stress test on a 1440p monitor and everything looked spectacular. I saw none of this pixelation during my play. They’ve definitely sharpened things up from 2004 for new resolutions. I imagine it even looks sweet in 4K.
