Max dragon riding right at level 62

this is easily the best piece of content they’ve ever put into the game. the earlier you max it, the faster you can zip around this expansion.

use tomcat’s tours to get all the glyphs instantly.

the absolute best addon for Dragonflight

I don’t like spoilers. I’d rather find the glyphs myself. I only ever look online for tips when I’m truly struggling to find something

Perfect!! Enjoy!

Anyway, I’m zipping around - the art is beautiful (as always) but thank god they realize they don’t have the playerbase to push PF anymore KEKW

If you have to go off script to get all the glyphs ASAP, and not encounter them as you progress naturally through each zone, it kind of says something about the quality of the script, doesn’t it?

Nobody without all the glyphs is praising the feature.

I used the coordinates and map on icy-veins, I didn’t bother with the addons. You get a buff when you are close to the glyph, so the addon isn’t really necessary. And yes, dragonriding is a lot more tolerable with ALL the glyphs.

thx for the addon tip.

I used handynotes for glyph locations. Same difference I suppose. But yeah, having all the glyphs makes a big difference in how frustrating it can be to fly. Also, once everything is maxed, you don’t have to do it again, it’s account wide, so your alts have the drakes and glyph points right off the boat.

Watch out for that twig that will disconnect you after hours of peaceful dragon riding.

Yes it has happened to me I can be dragon flying then land to stumble on a twig get disconnected.

None of the glyphs are particularly hidden, it is more about the world tour. If you see a tower take a peek inside and above. You will find a lot of them.

You don’t even need all of the glyphs to notice a remarkable improvement. I put 3 glyphs max (Thrill Chaser passive, if you’re curious) before jettisoning myself around the rest of the zones to get the rest of the glyphs and had absolutely no struggles except with a few that were clearly designed to be obtainable way further down the progression tree (I still managed to get them without immensely struggling, though, like the one at the highest peak in the game). In fact, I cleared all of the Azure Span without setting foot on the ground once.

It’s really not that hard. I think a lot of people are either A. Not upgrading their dragonriding, or B. Not pointing their mount upward when they use Skyward Ascent (you will not gain the momentum you want by just hitting Skyward Ascent unless you aim your dragon up), or C. Both.

I’ve noticed the pattern.

Fully-glyphed flappers claiming to be able to cross the Dragon Isles without stopping once, and I’m wondering why they’re not finding anything worth landing for.

It’s more of a utility then “whats worth landing for”

reach abit more and maybe you’ll actually find something

Not really. It’s meant to be something you can naturally progress as you go, with hints and such built into the system itself, but they also leave it open for completionists to do it from the jump.

Which is perfect, because it works for both kinds of players. The explorers can enjoy finding them on their own, and the completionists can bounce from one to the other and get the reward for exploration right away.

It’s a perfect example of satisfying both playstyles without making the experience worse for either one. No time gating, just activity gating, and it’s shared with your alts, too.

This is WoW done right, and it’s incredible that they nailed it on the very first day. The progression system for dragon riding is literally flawless.

Nah, I love this flight idea. Quite honestly this is about the lines that I was thinking the compromise should have been to begin with.

I just hope they don’t scrap this concept next expac and extend it to our current mounts.

Agree. That’s one thing I’ve been saying, is I hope it gets applied to our current mounts and this is just the new way to fly in game.
