So I have 30 characters on my SoD account (yes, I went crazy on one of each class, summon clickers, bank alts, like one for herbs, ores, leather, etc.) and looking to start over in classic anniversary so I can enjoy TBC when it comes out, but apparently I can’t create any characters there because I’ve maxxed out my character allowed limit…like what is this? It’s a separate game, each should have separate char counts? Do I seriously have to create a new battlenet account if I don’t want to delete my SoD characters? I feel like I just wasted $15 as I literally just resubscribed to the game after months lol Any other solutions?

I have 30 SoD toons and 35 in classic era for a total of 65. So I guess that is the limit lol.
Ugh I guess I’ll just start deleting bank toons on both those servers as I don’t really see myself coming back to them. If they release a classic + in the future, I’m gonna be screwed though if they don’t bump the limit or get rid of it
That’s too many characters.
It is kinda a pain if they keep pushing different versions and wanting folk to play them without increasing the character limit. Hope that happens but sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
lol for sure. I helped with a lot of guild summons so I had summon teams all over the world. About to start deleting them and some bank toons I guess on the versions I’m not playing at the moment. Also had one of each class in SoD as I enjoyed trying the runes on each of them (well, not warrior

I would imagine Blizz has some rules in place to protect from malicious actors trying to spam create thousands of characters on an account. Seems like you hit the cap.
Yes there is a limit.
Always has been.
They even increased it.

Saw one guy posting about having 550 chars but he also is on many accounts to hold them all. Plays them all i guess.
LOL if so, Seee this is more reason why each game needs its own client…
because right now SoD, Era and Anniversary are all basically the same game with rules changes… Well SoD and Anniversary have rules changes.
