What is the max level you can reach on your azerite neckpiece?
I thought it was 80 but am approaching 81 now. And there are people with their neckpiece now at 87.
Edit: Wait. Wowhead says infinite. What? Did I read that correctly?
I guess they just want to make it not feel so bad that half the wq and dungeon/raid drops are filled with ap making it to where when you earn max they dont give anything.
Prob is just extra neck ilvl and stats though making it worthless to car bout past its traits cause it wont go up fast enough to matter.

Yeah. Tbh, I was getting azerite in 8.25 when at max and it was a real letdown. Lol. Blizzard game designers getting smarter? What? Did I get that right?
I have no idea if I am at all on track here, but it seems to me that quest rewards in 8.25 and earlier scaled with neck level. Could that be the case here? Hence, is it mindless to keep going once you reach a certain level? Or will you start to get insane corruptions for doing quests once you reach 100???
There is also my buddy Himie. The guy has an insomniac brother who plays his toon when Himie goes to bed. And Himie’s toon’s neck level is now 87. Man.
What? I was happy when I hit max, it converted almost all AP sources into gold. Failed coin roll 750 AP, 2000 gold! 3000 AP Emissary, 2000 gold! Mission Board AP, got turned into gold! WQ gives you AP, also turned into gold! That 2500 AP from Paragon cache, still AP…

In 8.2 when you hit 70, all the azerite turned to gold on the wqs and follower mission table. Coins gave 2k gold instead of 750 ap and it was a good reward for reaching max lvl neck. Now instead we will be force fed azerite until this expac is over. I was really looking forward to the gold income to restore my coffers going into shadowlands but it seems that may get in the way of their plans to sell more wow tokens.

You obviously didnt use your Seals when raiding and running mythic keys deep into the night to the point that your fingers got numb from pounding your keyboard, lol.

Towards the end of 8.2 they changed ap rewards to gild if you were at 70 neck. They are not doing that again though because they don’t want to flood even more gold into the economy.
It doesn’t end at 100 and even worse most, if not all, of your essences will continue to scale with neck lvl. So there is also a never ending power gain behind it. Eventually they will likely turn on Azerite Knowladge and there will be some mathematical cap where full clearing 100% of azerite content and spending the rest of the 24/7 week in islands wont reach the next lvl before Shadow lands hits. I was guessing at this the other day and I suspect that it will be in the 130-140 neck lvl range. Given that most expacs hit with a +70-100 ilvl cap and the necks big secondary stat budget, a fully grinded neck will be BiS going into first shadow lands raid aswell.
They scale with neck level? Lol, really? I am going to have to stop sleeping and eating to tackle this.
