What if we had something similar to Legion’s Invassion Points, but maw themed for 9.1? Make the Maw and the Jailer seem like more of a threat and not a bunch of bumbling buffoons. I think it would be really cool to see something like this, but I don’t know if it would work with the lore.
I’d rather invasions happen in the other 4 zones than in that place. But that’s just me.
Yeah thats what I meant, like the forces of the Maw invading parts of the Shadowlands.
He’s more powerful, so yeah! Send those mawsworn to the zones and let’s fight it out!
I could get behind that. Anything but going back into the Maw itself. I’d rather spend the nite with a bunch of Victoria’s Secret models than hang around the Maw.
I will not be swayed, everything I know about the jailer I know from Captain Grim.
I didn’t realize that was an option! I’ll take that as well…
I thought they already said they were doing this. I think it is a terrible idea too.
It doesn’t exactly function in how the story is working. While the legion and our factions had footholds that could lead to invasions in those expansions, the Jailer is meant to be hiding his freedom.
…there’s the opposite in 9.1.
The covenants launch attacks on sections of the maw, twice a week, (essentially “replacing” the Hunts)
So the maw attacking outside wouldn’t make much sense, as they have to defend the Maw.
I had hoped the Maw be more like Diablo 3s Eternal Battlefield/Pandemonium with multiverse battles, stasis bubbles like Nethersorm/Area 52, and portals to even stranger places
I don’t have good memories of invasion points. They just seem like worse and more boring world quests.
So here is the thing, invasions are outdoor content, and therefore blizzard will make every mob killable with one hit. Nothing can be a threat if they can be 1 shot.
