For the love of God please make using mounts in the maw account wide.
That fear dot mechanic is annoying AF when trying to farm sanctum
There are many story skips. To unlock Korthia and Maw mounting you need to do choose a covenant, go do the early unlock quests and then skip the rest. You will be given a quest to go back to Oribos to talk to Blovar(?). Now you can skip to Korthia.
Takes about 5 min.

It does not take 5 minutes to unlock korthia.
Making mounts usable in the maw should be cake for them.justbget rid of that stupid fear
While i agree with the OP, there is a mount that works there on alts, the something creeper? I use it to get alts to the raid as they are slowly being killed by the stupid zone wide debuff!

I unlocked Maw riding on 3 alts just last night.
Got quest from Org. Ported to Oribos. Talked to the machine dude who sent me to Bolvar and the covenant guy. Talked to Bolvar and unlocked ZM. Choose Kyrian and followed the steps above.
It took me like 15min the first time, but it really can be done in 5min

Firishing the start of a covenant takes WAY less time vs running to SoD on foot.
But you do you i guess.
Could and should it be a simple once and done unlock per account for things like access to all zones and the ability to mount, or just have open access to all in general when past the expansion? Sure.
But seriously it’s like go to Oribos, skip, go to covenant, skip, go back to Oribos, skip, done and you’ll have access to Maw, Kothia, ZM, a covenant, mounting in Maw without the stupid eye, and access to the NPC in Maw that will sell you a teleport to SoD for a currency that is warbound.

You have to taxi to your covenant then taxi back to oribos…
On top of everything else.
It’s is. It faster than running to SoD
Especially when you get cleared every 30 sec.

Once you get to level 70, if you’ve previously done all the unlocks the hard way as soon as you get to Oribos you choose a covenant then talk to the robot dude to immediately open Zereth Mortis and korthia by choosing “I did this before blah blah” in the dialogue menu. I’ve done this on no less than twenty toons.
Na, ZM isn’t tied to korthia.
You have to finish your covenant intro for korth
