I have been playing WoW for a long long time, since the initial beta. I used to be a raider. Right now I’m in a season of life where my playtime is sporadic. Sometimes I’m on during the days. Sometimes I’m on at night. My family, work, and other responsibilities come first. As such, I’m not really interested in raiding, and probably won’t for a couple of years still. Many of my previous friends that I used to play WoW with have moved on to other life pursuits or have passed away, and so I find myself looking for a community to make new friends and call home. I seek a place with active players outside of raiding, where the focus is on building a fun community, to take advantage of what the game offers beyond just raiding.
What I offer in return is the following…
I’m a helpful player, that loves to learn, share knowledge, and be a good team member. My progression raid resume dates all the way back to the original Onyxia, Molten Core, and Blackwing Lair and continued through Wrath of the Lich King, with the occasional forays (some progression, mostly casual) into more current content at various times. I always focus on gearing to be ready and am self-sufficient in gearing myself to handle most encounters. If a raid needs a tank or dps in a pinch, and time permits, then I can drop in and fulfill those roles relatively well. I need only minor direction and explanation to learn fights. I don’t get angry easily, like to have fun, don’t get into petty arguments (this is a game after all and we’re here to have fun), and am a great team player for any role, whether raids or casual events. I really enjoy farming older content that I haven’t experienced yet. Sometimes that means catching up on old expansions after the fact. I like achievement farming, transmog farming, mount farming, and it’s more satisfying and exciting to do these in groups. If anyone else is looking for someone to help out on these, I’m very eager and willing.
There’s tons of guilds I see posting recruitment for raid groups, but it’s difficult to get a feel for what happens outside of the raids. I’d love the opportunity to talk to anyone that reads this, and who might think I’d be a good fit into your guild culture and environment. I’m looking for a long-time home and friends to build relationships with over the common interest that is World of Warcraft.
I currently reside primarily on US Arygos, playing a Paladin as my main, however I’m not opposed to transferring or switching factions if it makes sense. If anyone feels like I might be a good fit and is willing to have a sit down and chat, please let me know. I’d love to meet you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Kind Regards,
Rayvn - [US] Arygos
