I know it happens every time something big comes out (new expansion/big patch)
Everything skyrockets for a few weeks then comes down gradually.
I think we are nearing the bottom already for my profession at least.
I gather herbs and mine nodes during group searching (it’s a hard DPS life)
Now I don’t even really bother unless it still has some value going such as titan-touched herbs or nodes.
How are others doing?
Markets are sorting themselves out and when you have crafts that take 10 rousings to 15 herbs, yet herbs drop at something like 30 herbs for one rousing unless you target elemental nodes…
The market is sorting itself out and telling everyone there is an extreme surplus of herbs and a shortage of rousings. So go get rousings.
Rousing elementals are crashing too. It dropped nearly 70% past 2 weeks.
Also would help if there weren’t fishing and herbing bots dumping on the AH on a schedule.
I can literally see them waking up in the morning and placing stock their PCs auto-farmed through the night while they were sleeping,
“Humanity is not sustainable. To maintain our lifestyle (yours and mine, basically) for the entire planet, you’d need five more Earths. Not clear where they’re gonna come from.”

On most servers things like draconium and khazgorite ore is about 2gold, serevite is under 1gold mostly silver. Hochenblume like 25silver, witherbark maybe 2 gold.
Just not worth gathering anymore.
That probably means there’s a growing surplus of rousings. More people farming then people are using.
As more alchemist start to be able to craft rank 3 flasks and pots it should stabalize based on what people are willing to pay to always run content with a flask.
But that’s kind of mess with vastly different requirements for matts and vastly different demand and usefulness for flasks. And if one very useful flask is setting the price for mats while a less useful one uses the same mats, it can get priced out of existence.
WHAT?! bro im selling my rank 3 Khaz gorite for like 600 hold and my rank 2 for like 200 gold a pop.
Holy crap that is low!
Didn’t know bots are back in force already. Thought dragonflight made it unfeasible. I hate bots with passion. The users too!
must be scamming people then. these items have tanked on majority of servers.
Nope botting is about 10x what it was in SL. They even dragonride the bots now.
Universal AH?
They all look the same to me, also stock is the same #s.
Looking at prices for the the flask of glacial furry and it’s matts, things are still a little funky.
Ranks 3 mats for a craft are around 1600.
You make 2 per craft
Rank 3 phials are selling for 1k per 5.8k available.
Rank 2 phials are selling for 288 per 28k available.
Been focusing on these and right now I need to use meddle and get a inspiration to make rank 3 flasks. So not profitable to buy mats to make them. And I suspect a lot of alchemist are in the same situation.
What’s odd is the herbs, rank 3 for both mats are around 100 per, but rank 2 are in the 60-80 range so it’s much much cheaper to buy the rank 3’s then five rank 2’s to make a rank 3.
The potion market is probably skewed by people (myself included) dumping the randomly generated potions from research onto the AH.
Nah thats the going prices on my region.

Congratulations, you’ve figured out where the money is from gathering now thaht the market dipped. (That or q3 rarer materials, which is mostly Khaz’gorite Ore and to a lesser extent Writhebark.)
Happy farming.
No crafting arbitrage to maintain value like previous expansions.
Most will go down to vendor price.

All of those are region-wide auction house, not server based.

Hochenblume q2 is 3g85s, and it’s hilariously common. Serevite q2 is 5g70s, and it’s hilariously common. Draconium q1/q2 are 15-16g, q3 is 43-45g. Khaz’gorite is 240g for q1/q2 and 660g for q3. Writhebark q1 through q3 are 95-105g. If you’re actually selling at the prices you mentioned, you’re literally getting played.
