is there such thing as an addon that will tell you from what expansion a mat is from?
Like if you mouse over a mithril bar it’ll tell you its from vanilla, or fell iron ore is from BC?
my mat bank is crazy full and I need to organize it badly. and there’re just too many to keep track on anymore.

I think AllTheThings does or did this. Seems like my tooltip used to have that info but I’m not sure if it changed or I changed the settings.

If you look it up there are likely guys who share their Tradeskill Master Profiles and item groups. Such that you hover over an item and it’ll likely have a filepath that ends with Vanilla->Mining->Bars->Mithril Bar for example.
Using this one and it’s quite useful!
