Progress on this achievement for me seems to be bugged as I’ve unlocked all the gates and it’s showing one as missing as seem below in the screenshot.
I’m max renown so I should have all unlocked
I even have access to the one greyed out and can teleport to and from there without issue
I’m also in this state. I learned one of the waygates on an alt and now the achievement is impossible for me. No way to “learn” the last waygate, and it’s already usable.
Hope this gets addressed. They auto-close in-game tickets.
+1 on this issue. I also completed one of the waypoints on an alt (that probably shouldn’t have had the quest for it available in the first place), now I am stuck at 1 missing and can’t complete the achievement on my main.
Mine shows completed and I did not have max renown with any of the 4 factions when it completed.
Makes me wonder if maxing renowns before completing the waygates broke it?
This is my issue too, i cant get the achievement because one of them was done on an alt.
Replying here to bump this post. I put in a ticket and they referred me to Wowhead for “help on completing this achievement.” This obviously will not help, as to complete this achievement one simply needs to do all eight quests (apparently on one character, which is not stated anywhere). However, this is impossible, because the waygates are unlocked account wide and once you unlock them the quest for that particular waygate will not appear for any other character.
Seems unrelated to max renown. I’m at 24.
Same for me, missing 2 on my main as I did them on my alt.
Got the same issue. Got one done an an alt and now I cant even complete the achievement on my main. When I use the teleporter my alt unlocked, it shows as “Dormant Waygate” when I mouse over it and can’t actually use it on my main.
Also just ran into this issue; however, I knew I only needed the last one on my main (for me it’s Algeth’era). Unfortunately, I had already accepted the quest to unlock it on an alt (that alt is not renown 23, my main is the only one even close to that renown level). I abandoned it on that alt, and it is not available for pickup from Thaelin on my main. I may be forced to do it on the alt to have all unlocked and then wait for Blizz to make it an account wide achievement or fix the quests to all be done on a single character. For now, there doesn’t appear to be any other option. Maybe after a reset the quest will become available again, or it may be locked to that alt that accepted it already. Either way, also having this issue.
same issue here. all waygates are unlocked. confirmed the one missing in the achievement is usable. this achievement needs to be set as an account wide one.

Same here. Rank 23, just unlocked Ancient Waygates VII and the one missing on my main is the only one I did on an alt. Thaelin doesn’t offer a quest to unlock on my rogue, but the teleporter is usable.
Just adding my name to this list - unlocked a couple on alts so I cannot complete the achievement.

I think i have the opposite problem, I somehow am at rank 21 renown but have the mastering the waygates achievement.
I abandoned one as it wouldn’t count it as complete and i could get the last one for the achieve as the only quest available to me.
I think the renown quests bugged in general as i suddenly had a bunch to do again when i already had unlocked things ages ago at lower ranks of renown

Well 10.0.5 has come and gone and i still have an errant quest i can’t complete
this quest still seems bugged, somehow i got the quest, without hitting the 15 renowned and have the achievement for the gates but never did any of it. was doing quest clean up and came across this quest went to the place and was able to go to all the locations from there but quest never progressed. i did boost another toon which gave me 20 rep with dragonscales, but havent done anything but the emerald dreamquest… i am level 70, even below my name it shows 69 lol
It’s like a year later and I still can’t seem to get this quest don’t? Anyone have any ideas. For there to be a bug this long is insane.
