Master Assassin build

I read somewhere that an Assassin build is possible for mythic dungeons? Something along the lines of 2-3 DD and MA. If its possible and only if, what would the rotation look like for multiple trash, cleave, and single target? Also, would 1-2 SS + subterfuge just be better in general?
-thanks

master assassin is single target raid build only. subterfuge + shrouded is still king for m+.

Master Assassin is my main spec - mostly for raids though. But I have absolutely done it in M+ with quite a bit of success.

The thing you need to understand is what you are bringing it for. Make no mistake, SS+subterfuge is the go-to for M+ in most circumstances because how fast you clear trash is usually the limiting factor on time. But if you are going to play MA, your job is to destroy bosses. So for example if it’s a tyrannical week and your team can clear trash pretty quickly, then you might consider taking it. Particularly if there is a tough dps check on a boss (think 3rd boss in Temple).

MA builds on trash play similar to sub rogue, you aren’t trying to necessarily max aoe damage, you are turning aoe potential into single target pressure. So if there is a priority target, you use your fan of knives to get as many envenoms off as possible onto that target.

On another note: i think MA is seriously underrated for even raid encounters. One of the best azerite builds that no one really talks about is double dose + twist the knife + nothing personal.

Mutilate procs double dose based off poison application, envenom crits give you 30% increased chance for double dose procs, twist the knife increases envenom damage and adds more chance for double dose procs, Nothing personal guarantees you will have the energy to pull off your combos, and Toxic Blade increases the damage of double dose, envenom+twist the knife, and nothing personal by 30%. Master Assassin practically guarantees envenom/mut crits - setting off the chain reaction above.

They really synergize well. Definitely try it sometime if you are experimenting with MA.
