Does anyone even try to makes friends anymore? Or are people so turned off by people they’d rather not bother, and others live in their “highschool cliques” still. I remember when you could meet someone on the road and make friends for life. Now you can sit in town and everyone is a bot.
People kind of band together based on what content they do. Raiders raid, mythic plus runners run mythic plus, and pvpers hate each other.
People don’t talk randomly with strangers anymore. Rules kind of force positive only interactions so no one bothers.
Yeaa, I figured. I just hope maybe bringing attention to it might make people open up a little lol. Was cool when anyone playing WoW was cool with playing WoW with other WoW players.
Gotta find yourself the right guild. I’ve made plenty of new friends this year in WoW just because they joined my guild! ![]()
i made one single friend on wow and i played with him like 1 time lol and i dont even
really play retail much but hes the nicest person i ever met on here. been friends 2 yrs.
My WoW friends are the ONLY reason I play WoW in the first place.
As a game in and unto itself, WoW isn’t very good, there are many superior alternatives.
I play WoW for the people.
1000% agree
If it wasn’t for my guild, I’d have left this game a while ago.
Not everyone is a social butter fly. Join a friendly guild and make plenty of friends, If people do not want to be social leave them be.
Let’s just give them all the boot and replace them with everyone from Classic and the good folks that will play with them
I don’t have these problem being from RP servers. We have a pretty tight community overall.
wow
friends
Pick one.
Legit. Pick one.
No one wants to make friends anymore, people are so quick to replace you.
“Oh, but then just join a guild”
Why? To be kicked or treated like trash for liking specific specs? Or for being versatile in roles?
Inb4 this get reported into the ground for being factually correct.
When people suggest “join a guild”, they mean join a good one.
The game going cross server kinda killed peoples desire to interact with the random players you encounter in the wild, as you likely never see them again.
That and both the game and community becoming more focused on efficiency and grinding out your goals as quickly as possible rather than enjoying a rpg journey.
I totally get that, but is it a RL group of friends who all game together? Or friends you made while WoWing? Both are great, just curious your perspective :3
I haven’t met anyone in the guild IRL.
Server community is the major thing I miss. It’s like we all lived in our own side of the game, now no one knows anyone, and you don’t look anymore because most people are phased or something so it’s not worth it. I miss, and would love to bring back a couple retail servers with some sociality ![]()
Bro who hurt you
Lol. You mean GDKP cartels and guilds?
Yea pretty much , even work places are like that nvm video games lol
