I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Blizzard keeps finding new and unexpected ways to disappoint me.
AMD Ryzen 5700X
32Gb of ram
Dual Nvidia Titan XP
Getting crashes
application WOW.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware.
Done the WOW repair
Addons all disabled
Done the Uninstall the NVIDIA graphics drivers, clean uninstall
Used the program DDU to see if that would work
Done the Manage 3D settings in the NIVIDA control panel
Done the add administrator privileges to WOW.exe
Done the Compatibility to Windows 8
Done the Disable full screen optimizations
Reinstalled WOW
Whatever this is, it’s a crazy graphics compatibility issue.
Never have I had to do so much troubleshooting to get the game working again.
I am just able to sit at my covenants base now after several attempts to log in and pray I could get out of a heavy mob zone that was bringing the game to a crawl.
Come on Buzzard I believe in you! Vanilla paste!
So no updates yet huh? Does anyone know the best course of action to get my money back for the past couple of months since I haven’t been able to play? Not pleased with the level of service this company gives anymore and If I’m not getting to play the product I pay for I’d like to get my money refunded tbh
Another maintenance from 7pm (PST) to 8pm (PST) and does anyone believe they will solve our case? Of course not, it’s probably to get an NPC there, a quest here, because this damn problem due to interns tinkering with an obsolete graphics engine that no longer needs tweaking is not a priority. It’s laughing so you don’t cry, because the tears are over.
I’m doing a dark ritual to try to sway the malevolent powers that be into making WoW run decent again, idk about you all.
What I said ? nothing from this mediocre company to fix this disgraceful problem caused by their own incompetence.
+1 here. While not unplayable, definitely some weird issues introduced with 10.0 that I can’t help but think is somehow related to the conflicting resources with the new UI. Stutters and weird freezes that didn’t exist previously.

32GB ram

Just wanted to add in that I think the view distance and loading of textures is the issue. I notice this every now and then when I fly into a city. Textures on far away objects are totally messed up;
I dont get texture issues. Just disconnects, Character with this name already exsists, and choppy gameplay
Yeah, I recall a response earlier in this thread linking to a Reddit post detailing that some people’s data drives and caches are swapped by WoW, making performance fall right in the toilet. That problem could be fixed by running a console command, but unfortunately while that did seemingly improve things a bit, I still have the stutters and freezes.
I have a hunch that the that’s not the only error of this nature and there’s an extra 0 or something somewhere that’s making our computers flip out when trying to run retail. I don’t think it’s actually a graphical issue at all, just because in between the freezing the game looks really smooth, but I’m not a computer doctor.
After a month, massive stutters still the problem. The funny part of this is that after prepatch some people report bug about anger of sha for mount drop 100% and they fix in hours seems is biggest problem was the game but massive stutters seems is not big problem other think after people suggest something for problem they support game coming say thank you for people help for this problem i mean wtf anyway good job blizzard Go this way and lose your player like before u lose other player
Lol I literally am reading the Reddit thread from exactly one month ago detailing this issue and all the comments are saying “well, this is a pretty severe problem, I’m sure they’ll fix it soon!”
I am once again praying to the dark lords to fix this problem.
this forum have 990 comments and 34k views is one of the big problem for this game but not for blizzard seems they wait we are find solution after that blizzard post this thank u for people fix this problem i dont think even dark lords can help us too they unsubscribe this game too
I am convinced that this is a network code issue. When I play early in the morning with few players it runs pretty smooth. In the evenings it is a stuttering mess in ZM.
I’m feeling like it’s a memory leak. When I log in, it’s smooth and after about an hours play it turns into a stuttering mess, no matter what zone I’m in
It’s not for most of us, I’ve monitored the memory etc. (doesn’t increase over time), and it’s stuttery from a fresh log in. Anytime there’s players involved, it loads them in and stutter. The pop-in is also bad.
Alright Blizzard, very cool for you to launch DF in a state. No fixes in sight, nothing has done anything no matter what I’ve done. Seems most people here have no actual workarounds either. Get your act together, this is disgustingly disgraceful 1 month later and we’re a few days till launch and literally no fix for this issue?
What the f***.
Has Blizzard really not responded in 3 weeks to this post? And still the same issues???
Like…WHAT?!
And 999 comments as of right now. Maybe if we get to 1000 they’ll give us a status update….? Please?
i have stuttering all the time in oribos, or with pop in textures, when i change zone and the text with the name of the area appears too, it is very annoying, anyone else has these problems? it is not a massive stuttering but it is very annoying.
