Again, there’s nothing you can do on your end so don’t feel dejected. Blizzard are aware of the issue and it will be up to them to rectify it and deploy a patch to the game.
It’s just hard.
Yes, BFA and Slands weren’t all that great.
But this has been the biggest FU from blizz for a long time. Can’t even provide us with a damn update.
As Dysphoria said they are very aware. I was on the phone with them for 2 hours… LOL
I left during BFA and SL… I’m just returning in December… I know you guys have dealt with this issue since the pre patch… I know it’s hard to play thru it. Especially, when none of the suggested bandaids help. Heck, sometimes it’s not even playable especially after a reset…
I just wanted to share they are actively working on it and aware of this major issue. It’s why I shared my ticket so you all who have been dealing with this longer can see they are working on this. Nothing we can do… besides share what’s going on and our dxdiag so the devs can get more information.
I know this doesn’t make it any better… But this is what we know.
Edit: Sorry for typos… Fixed them… My phone loves autocorrect too much.
It was possible to activate Reflex using CVar config months ago. A bummer it actually make WoW run worse with it activated, but then again it’s an old patched up engine they use.
I appreciate you provided that.
The heat comes from much more than this issue with me personally. It’s been problem after problem from the start. It just seems like a massive fail across the board. But I won’t get into things that are off-topic.
Ahh, I was not aware.
It seems to be causing interface latency, I have no clue. I saw no difference in smoothness. Could be other problems. Who knows at this point.
I am just going to uninstall again and wait until Blizzard releases a statement that it’s fixed. I’m definitely addicted at this point trying with every patch and driver update. Kinda feel pathetic. Spent $100 to update 2 account for DF. What a waste. All I got was complete hate for the game and company instead.
I can completely understand and respect that.
Yeah, I wasn’t here for almost 4 years… So those things that has happened… I can’t and won’t speak on.
Also I can relate to the wanting to fix this… And doing all one can… Even thought about buying the new ROG Scar… But my laptop is MORE than capable of running this… and it’s above the recommended…
Anyhow, I hope this find this issue asap and fix it. So we can all enjoy this game while playing it… And I hope you are enjoying the other games you are playing
With all the bugs and such, I can’t really tell if changing settings have much effect. It’s all just a mess, where even standing still facing in a certain direction cuts fps in half.
Question, any of y’all noticing the stutters, drops… to be far worse after the reset or if there are updates once you open the bnet client? Haven’t logged today but yesterday was really bad. Even in old content areas. Just curious if you guys have noticed anything.
No difference for me this reset, but I did notice a large increase in instance stuttering after the 10.0.5 patch.
Night of the patch I ran a Nokhud and had a stutter every third GCD or so. I was yelling in panic as AOEs would suddenly be underneath my character and I would have very little time to get out of them. It got a bit better the next day, but still not as good as before the 10.0.5 patch in which the stutters were bad enough.
Decided to check out the performance of the game after the latest nvidia driver update and the wow patch. The stuttering was much more frequent for me tonight than normal. Maybe because more players are playing tonight? I’m not sure but it seems way more frequent than before. I’m literally about ready to cancel my subscription as the game went from “playing for fun” to “playing to see if the stutters finally stopped”. I do enough software testing at work; I don’t want to do it in my spare time at home.
I had the same problem on my laptop with older geforce 970m. I tried everything discussed but my framerate was before patch around 60 with custom settings to 8.
What I did that worked for me was just go into settings and set them to default and restarted and it’s back to where is was before patch.
I don’t understand how this still hasn’t been fixed I know of like 10 people at least not currently playing because of fps issues and connection issues
ok new problem that i just got today i was playing alittle and i went to mount my dragon in val which was stuttering like crazy anyway and then out of know were my screen froze said i didnt have enough memory to perform such action so it forced close wow. Right now if stuff dont get better im just going to quit wow i hate to but i aint going pay for something i cant even play or waste money to get a better pc when to many are having problems with it with top rigs
They definitely got worse after the patch…
Definitely noticed after restart and server come back up its really bad… But maybe because there are more people playing… However, I noticed stutters in old content more this week…
I haven’t been to dragon isle and wont until my new cooling pad arrives. It gets so hot as soon as land in dragon isle… Memory issues too on dragon isle? I have read that somewhere.
So, update noticed them more in old content. Seemed way worse Tuesday but still bad.
I know blizz is working on it and we probably know anything until a blue comes in with an update. Was just curious if you guys noticed if it’s worse, the same, or a little better.
It seems like it got worse especially now with the memory issue. I really hope they compensate us or something with all issues we been having.
this is killing my immersion. just resubbed and the game has been stuttering like crazy, wasn’t like this in Bfa
Yikes
This… I stopped at the end of Legion… I definitely don’t remember these fps issues and stutters.
The perceived increase in stutters after maintenance is something that I have noticed as well from time to time. I say “perceived” because I can’t actually say for sure that the stutters are worse or if it is a case of more players logging in and doing things in my vicinity. Having said that, the underlying stuttering issue that initiated this thread months ago is still present and unchanged irrespective of graphics driver updates, OS updates or WoW updates.
As for the memory issue, that sounds like some sort of memory leak or transient allocation issue. If you are continuing to experience it, try disabling addons, closing open applications on your PC or restart the system and see if that helps.
Every expansion had fps issues that could be triggered if enough people are in a zone in combat at the same time but you’re right; the stuttering issue described in this thread only started once 10.0.0 hit.
Thank you for saying that Dysphoria. Because I’m like well it could be the amount of players online…
Tbh, it feels worse this week… I flew to ulduar for my weekly mount farm… my last Mount FOS for wrath I need… and the fps drop and stutters there is pretty bad this week… Firelands run for was horrible stutters…
Edit:
This… every expansion has had it issues when I played but nothing near this bad ;-; It’s sometimes completely unplayable.
