Massive stutter and black frame issues

I just came back to the game after a month or so away, and now as soon as I enter the game with my character, whenever I use the mouse or move the game stutters horribly and black frames pop up every second. My internet connection is fine, it’s some kind of graphical error. WoW is the only game I’ve seen this happen with and I have no other issues with my PC or GPU.It’s completely unplayable. I’ve downloaded the latest Nvidia gpu drivers as well.

Here’s my Dxdiag: (pastebin (dot) com/MkYYaAdZ).

Hey there Grizzleflesh,

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out with those details as well as the DxDiag link. Based on your description, it sounds like a third-party program may be conflicting with the game or your mouse driver/settings. Try closing any potentially conflicting programs/applications by disabling startup items with the steps below. Before trying the steps below, please close unnecessary programs and restart your computer:

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. Click More Details in the bottom-left.
  3. Select the Startup tab.
  4. Right-click on each item listed and select Disable. Make sure all are “Disabled”.
  5. Restart the computer.

If the issue is resolved after restarting your system, you can enable each startup application one at a time to determine which one is causing the problem. You will need to restart between each application you enable.

Note: To re-enable startup applications, follow steps 1-4 and select Enable.

I hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!

I tried this. I noticed that restarting my PC would fix the issue for a while, so I took a screenshot of my task manager when the game wasn’t working and one of it when it was and compared them. Exactly the same. Why would restarting my PC fix the issue (for a while) if it’s not because of another program? Do you have any other suggestions? The game is seriously unplayable in this condition.

FIXED: It was my monitor. I turned off Gsync and now it works fine.

Thanks for the update, Grizzleflesh! Glad to hear its working now, if it seems to come back or you run into any other issues, let us know
