Have lost 3 toons yesterday to lag spike in excess of 2000ms.
Playing from Australia as we do not have OCE servers. For ref not my internet connection as I have 40ms to the OCE servers.
Can we have a self found button on other classic PVE servers based in OCE?
Yes - just give Soul of Iron buff to all Era servers - problem solved 
Might try posting on the general forums, to draw up more support at least for the OCE servers to add the options for the Soul of Iron, and Self Found buffs on the ERA servers, since it would need to be added to the non HC servers, and while there is still a large “No Changes” contingent, this seems like a reasonable ask.
And yet there is all this concern that was triggered by changes/updates/maintenance to SoD which is also running the same platform as Era. Pretty good chance that Blizz cannot do this without something going sideways in either Era or SoD (which both have larger current audiences than HC so more noise if things go wrong).

They need to stop being cheap and separate the seasonal servers from Era and hardcore. That would be a good place to start.
So you had 3k ping, died, logged into a 2nd toon with 3k ping, died then did it a 3rd time? You deserved that buddy
I just go again… part of life as a HC enjoyer playing from Australia. Would still appreciate a 40ms base ping as I get on a Sydney based server VS the 400ish and higher chance of a DC from a US based one. Yes we can play using the addon from a OCE server but it still doesn’t feel the same.
It’s probably being cheap but also lazy.
Makes it easier to have seasonal “trophy” characters move onto Era. Much like deceased HC have the option to move to Era.
This kind of irks me. Seasonal seems more like a ptr where they throw stuff at the wall to see if it sticks. Just delete it all at the end and start over or make another place where they don’t lose the abilities and features they got. People get dumped on Era and start whining for changes. It’s obvious that an old school rpg isn’t where they want to be.

I transferred some characters from SoM to Wrath with their gold to contribute to the guild.
I was surprised when I jumped into that season well after release and still gold capped a couple of characters. Easily. The gold was the only reason those didn’t end with the season as I did not intend to play them further.
I’ve no interest in keeping trophies. All my HC characters that fell in battle were deleted. But people asked for the option to continue play in both cases. It’s not for me but they asked and apparently Blizz believes this might keep em hooked. IDK
This has me concerned greatly for Era in the case of SoD being promised their journey would continue but they are not in a separate ecosystem.

Same , huge lag spike then dead, shows tainted soul buff while still full health, got screen shot to prove it is on their end not ours, and should be appealable, So much resources going to other realms we are getting penalized for playing a HC realm? sorry but if they don’t fix this error on their part I am done with this game forever after 17 years… I died due to no fault of my own, screen shot proves that.
