Massive fps loss

I’ve been getting terrible fps drops whenever i am in major cities or instances around other players but i can go out and quest in open world and do delves solo and its fine. I play wow for the multiplayer aspect but its becoming unplayable for me currently i have lowered every setting to low and still no help on fps drops.

I’m having similar problems, and adjusting the graphics settings doesn’t change anything at all. I’m getting the same exact fps in these situations whether running at max graphics settings or min settings. Tested extensively last night.

Laptop?

If so, check thermals and power plan. Maybe backup add-ons and do a WTF and add-on reset to see if those are impacting you.

Alternatively, I see some people have issues with WoW randomly setting the Foreground FPS limit. Also, upscaling hurts FPS, too.

There isn’t much you can do around a lot of players, except a stronger CPU, but if you’re getting it in dungeons, such as during combat, add-ons could be playing a role.

So i launched the game and sat in dorgal for a bit and it seems to be just everything constantly loading in for players and the map loading when i turn in different directions that causes the massive fps drops. I never had this problem with any wow expansion just trying to figure out what settings changed or what changed on my end that is cause the delay

Offtopic, but why does a laptop with that CPU and GPU only have 8GB of RAM? My phone has more…

I’m having similar issues and I am on a pretty beefy desktop rig (5800x3d 4090). I just think the new are is severely unoptimized. Even in other busy cities I could keep a high framerate but when I am flying or moving around I find I get a lot of hiccups and stutters.

Can’t relate.

7800X3D and 7900 XT, and no issues with performance so far.

I’m not sure what’s going on under the hood for others.

Game runs perfect in windowed mode on ultra after much searching. Seems to just be a Fullscreen issue
