Mass Reporting Issue

It’s very clear that there is an issue with the report system whereby a group of players or botted accounts can just mass report a specific player and get them muted/banned/perma’d and very few if not no actual gamemasters reading or responding to reports.

This issue seems to be focused around multiple things such as swearing in chat (there’s a literal feature in the client that filters these words lol), doing something players find disagreeable or straight up just to sabotage a singular or group of players whom you really don’t like or again… disagree with.

I think the solution here is very simple, either hire more human-gamemasters or find a better system to use that doesn’t sabotage its own playerbase for working in a way that players can abuse, over and over with zero repercussion to those who have been abusing it… or… disable reporting players in Battlegrounds altogether as receiving a ban for actually playing the game the way it was intended is absolutely ludacris and beyond toxic.

I firmly believe that if someone is caught mass reporting on any account associated with another across the same computer (Hardware IP) or network (Network IP) that all the associated accounts be permanently banned too.

I have a numerous amount of guild members and randoms i talk to on a daily basis who end up getting banned for doing things that would otherwise not be against the ToS and when they go to appeal it more than once they are warned by the gamemaster in question that their next appeal will result in a perma which is obviously wrong unless the players in question really did do a big no no.

To summarize it shortly, fix your report system… it’s broken, it was broken in 2019 and it’s broken now, fix it and listen to your real players before you force more of them out the door to never renew their subs again.

Another one?
Have a look through the CS forum and then come back and say you still think it’s automated.

There is a filter, yes. You still agreed to the chat rules if not using profanity (among other things). The filter is in place to help people censor out chat from folks who refuse to follow the rules they agreed to.

It is automated at the beginning stages yes. All companies use AI and algorithms in place of humans now.
Why would we expect Activision Blizzard to be the sole company to choose customers over profits?

Last time I agreed with this statement my comment was reported until deletion.

The trolls here who don’t actually play the game just love to seethe and cope

But I agree. The AI is horrible right now and a lot of innocent people are getting banned and this is why I refuse to play fresh because its just overtuned/toxic.

Do you actually have any evidence of this? So far I have not seen any.
I have seen either a lot of people who deserved their penalties, or a few people who didn’t and got it overturned. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, has been presented as credible evidence that suspensions or bans are automated.

Instead of calling anyone who disagrees with you a troll, maybe try engaging in a conversation in good faith.

Which innocent people are getting banned? It happens, absolutely it happens, but it’s also very rare. Almost everyone who posts their “I was banned and I’m innocent” story in the CS forums turns out to not be very innocent at all.
Regardless, it doesn’t take AI to ban innocent players. Regular old humans can make mistakes too.

To everyone else: Think critically for two minutes. What is more likely, that people are getting banned “for no reason” by AI, or that because Blizzard enforces the rules of the game, people are complaining that they are facing the consequences of their actions.
I mean you can complain here all you want, but in the CS forum where these things are fact checked every day like 95% of the “I was banned for no reason” stories come back that they were, indeed, banned for a reason.

Again, don’t believe me? That’s fine. But I’m not the one getting banned.

They did nothing about it the last 6 years, they won’t do anything about it now

cs forum has nothing to do with actual ban system and they can’t do anything outside of lock a thread and tell you lies

They literally work at Blizzard. They even moderate the forums. They would know better than you would.

All you have are weird conspiracies lol.

Can you link to a post in the CS forums where a blue poster lied, along with evidence that they had lied? I’d be curious to see.

You want me to link deleted post? goofy

They literally can’t do a damn thing but lock or delete post/threads, they give false reasons for accounts being suspended/banned then look stupid once those accounts are overturned

They can suspend you from the forums too lol. They’re literally moderating the forums and would know how moderation works for this game.

When have they ever done this?

I was one of the people, hence the knowledge and on two different characters.

Okay, and your evidence is what?

you lack comprehension skills, how about you hop online and get 100 people to report you and see what happens

No, I am asking where your evidence is. You said you were one of the people - well let’s see the evidence that any of this actually happened as you have relayed it here.

Is there a problem?

I already know what happens - I would get a squelch and nothing more.

do it and see on an account that has already received that penalty

Not necessary - we already know what happens, I would get a squelch. You coming up with zero proof conspiracies doesn’t change that.

My account hasn’t received that penalty because I’m not a jerk.
