Mass reported for leaving key

Actually, according to Blizzard, you can report them.

But (to get a suspension for that), blizzard has to be able to determine that the intent of leaving was gameplay sabotage.

Not that they felt the key was no longer timetable, not that they didn’t want to carry the group any longer, not that you left because the rest of the party wasn’t pulling their weight and the key might not have been completable.

You need to read that over. It specifically states:

If you encounter behavior in chat that demonstrates malicious intent to sabotage the run of your Mythic+ group, you can report the player by using the right-click option in-game.

It’s a combination of chat behavior and leaving the dungeon that’s actionable. The act of leaving the dungeon itself is not. If you say nothing in chat and just leave the dungeon, that’s perfectly acceptable.

the same way you interpreted it someone else can interpret that a whole different way and be equally as correct until Blizzard clarifies, you are not the arbiter of truth…

Additionally, it can be said that ANYONE who leaves a key prior to its completion and therefore, causes a key to tank, had “malicious intent”.

It’s not our problem to figure out if someone had malicious intent or not to sabotage the game. That’s why the report function exists, to let Blizzard sort it out.

Only Blizz can see how often this person behaves that way and then take action and spoiler alert, repeatedly leaving a key before completion certainly does not look good. Why? Because it’s not acceptable behavior in a social game.

Which is why, if you’re going to leave, you don’t say a word. But if some one leaves saying something negative towards the group, they might receive account action. I’m not saying this is right or wrong, just warning people that yes, you can get reported and depending on what was said, you may get action taken against you.

Alt f4 probably the best option and just log back in like 5-10.

There’s no other way to interpret it accurately other than the way I’ve described it. It’s pretty cut and dry.

Not really. Malicious intent has a very specific and powerful meaning. Someone leaving a key because they no longer wish to be in it is not malicious itself.

No one said it is. If you suspect someone had malicious intent, report it. If your suspect everyone that has ever left your key had malicious intent, you should probably familiarize yourself with what the word malicious means.

and you should probably stop thinking you’re views are the only correct ones.

they aren’t.

Thanks.

It sounds like it’s pretty specific what they look for in cases like this. “rip timer” then leaving won’t qualify, something about people not doing mechanics or pulling super low number probably won’t (it can be phrased in a way that runs afoul of other rules, but won’t break this one)

They aren’t my views – it’s a description of the rules and real-life application. The rules are abundantly clear and leave little room for interpretation. What you’re describing is misunderstanding, not knowing what malicious means, etc… not interpretation.
