It was, for the winners.
C’mon, high levels in Goldshire are 1 minute from the gates of Stormwind. You didn’t stand a chance.

Nope, you’re not.
Reports generate warnings. They can report, but it’s not going to go anywhere.
No one said it was.
… OP isn’t Horde on MG. That’s his Classic character. I truly wish people would read fully what’s going on before responding.
As a roleplayer on Moon Guard… I can almost promise you that Horde rolling up in a raid to attack isn’t done for RP purposes in the slightest. It’s exclusively to grief. ESPECIALLY mass reporting getting spawn camped without actually telling anybody “Hey, we’re roleplaying a fight here.”
I’m actually not too sure what would have generated a “warning” for “behavior”. The options when right-click reporting a player would be:
None of those, as far as I’m aware, would generate a behavior warning.
Those warnings are typically from right-clicking in-game chat and reporting it for language.
There is no option for reporting “griefing” as that’s not something that Blizzard actions in WoW. Nor is there an option to report graveyard camping as that’s also allowed.
there’s a couple of support articles… i’m not seeing any blue posts.
we know there are automated warnings.
however, warnings are just warnings… they’re not account actions.
nobody is going to get their account actioned for camping a gy.
the op was wanting to claim that “a couple of our guys got behavior warnings for camping”
it’s the entire premise of the thread.
there’s a reason why we’re not seeing any screenshots of these alleged “warnings”.
i find it far more likely they were reported for something like vulgar cross faction communication, or tea-bagging, or basically anything other than pvp.
Man, mass-reporting for being GY camped is such a lame copout.
Take your loss/rez sickness like a real human being, and move on.
Or just log out and wait until you can play again, that’s what we did in the days of Vanilla lol.
A rogue would follow you for hours, ganking and you couldn’t play, but that wasn’t against the rules back then, I guess it’s considered harassment now?
I dunno, PvP in the open world, has always been some form of harassment, but you consent to it through Warmode. You could be farming or questing and someone would just yeet you into the graveyard.
You should really be able to turn it off while dead, if you’re being camped though. Seems like an oversight on their end.
Yes it is and its gonna get worse.
are you even hearing yourself?
do you actually expect an army to request consent from the enemy, to stage an invasion?
Yeah. Why would the Russians have dropped bombs on Berlin to bully the Germans into surrender? They should have just called AH and asked him kindly to leave Europe alone.
War is war. You have two factions at odds with each other. Hello, McFly…
oh boy.
i need sleep.
i was trying to figure out why someone would phone the auction house.
it’s definitely bed time.
Idk those warning were enough to get half the defending raid to drop
I understand this if this was a serious thing, but it’s the Blizzard forums were 99% of us can’t even post links. I’ve found theirs apparently evidence everywhere and as you said even support articles.
I would imagine a big beefy cow in a bright pink bunny onesie to have a more open mind
I guess it would depend on the way the term “mass reporting” is used. Here in the GD forums, it’s generally meant to mean abuse of the reporting system. As in, someone got mad and reported a bunch of stuff.
I don’t know of any blue posts that say “Mass reporting works” though. If you have a link to it, by all means, feel free to post it. You can put a ` on each end of the link to get the system to allow you to post it.
Are you hearing yourself?
This isn’t actual war, it’s playing pretend on the internet. You’re griefing because there are people playing pretend when you want to play tag. You annoy them until they play tag whether or not they want to, so when people do come to play tag and push you down because you picked on the people that didn’t want to play tag, you boo-hoo that they play too rough.
No. It isn’t. But people are once again not reading.
It helps if you’d understand that they know GY camping isn’t breaking rules and that this is a guild who purposely does this just to report people when it happens. It’s not the first time it’s happened on MG, it won’t be the last. The guild is known to many of us.
So instead of claiming “never happened,” try to understand what’s actually going on.
OP was concerned whether the warnings meant anything. We answered that.
That name is taken from the PK guild on Sword Art Online. They obviously don’t live up to that hype if they get wiped a lot.
It’s one of the first comments. I guess it doesn’t count as a “blue post” technically, but there is a support link that’s basically confirming mass reporting functions as an intentional way of automation.
It’s the support article I linked.
If you are reported several times in World of Warcraft for violating the in-game rules, the game will send you a warning letting you know that you will need to be careful or you may get a silence or suspension in game.
It doesn’t say chat reported. Just reported.
I’m going to see if I can get some clarification on which type of reports can cause these warnings to be generated.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to or not, but I’ll see what I can find out.
I got a behavior warning for mildly complaining that I thought something was broken because a level 11 was killing everything in the dungeon before I could even cast a spell in Newcomer chat. Doesn’t seem like it matters if something does/doesn’t break the rules, behavior warnings from searching google and these forums says is entirely automated.
Didnt one of those wow streamers test this back in bfa? He got like 100 of his twitch chat zombies to report him for inappropriate language after saying “hi” and he got dropped from the game and ate a week ban instantly on a fresh account lol.
At the very least I know the chat ban system is automated and VERY fast. I got a 3 day chat restriction for making an lfg post that said “dont apply if you’re from ragnaros server.” Got silenced within 2 minutes and blocked from using the lfg tool for 3 days lol. 100% deserved too, I was just testing a claim from a guildy that if you put anything even remotely offensive in the lfg it will get you actioned super fast.
It’s a curious thing though, because gradually as these systems take effect more and more people learn to say less. It reduces toxicity, but also reduces community at the same time. We arent quite in the same realm as mobas like League of Legends where mute all (including self) is a standard procedure, but we may be getting there.
