So horde tried raiding MG Goldshire and got GY camped for it and a couple of our guys got behavior warnings for camping for what I can only expect is mass reports. Is this really how the behavior system is run nowadays?
At last check the warnings are automated and don’t do anything.
I think that I got one just for walking around on classic.
yea warmode pvp follows the same rules as server pvp realms did
so like kennie said automated the people who reported got salty fast
Thats so incredibly wack. What was a dope WPvP sesh turned into the raid breaking up cus warnings. We were talking about going to Org for retaliation next too.
Real bummer that automated systems can basically ruin the vibe and stop cool memories from happening.
It actually felt like Classic for an hour constantly defending Goldshire from the Horde push. Le sigh.
just a question was the group of players camped the horde area GY for the horde?
or the bodies
We camped the horde GY south of GS, but it was more like 90% fighting 10% camping in time. We were about to dip and go Org too it wasnt like we were doing it forever. We did set up tents everywhere and turn into giant trolls with toys so maybe that did it.
Come back when you actually get banned
A warning is meaningless, because it’s not on your record. It also doesn’t tell you specifics. It’s simply a nudge to not do dumb stuff again. Though I thought warnings were only for chat. I’ll have to check on that.
Edit: this seems to read for any behavior. But it’s unlikely anything would follow up, considering it’s PvP. Here’s the article:
It’s what that guild that raids GS does. It’s one guy’s guild, and he directs people to mass report every other time they raid.
Obviously, you can’t say his name due to the “naming and shaming” BS, but everyone at GS knows who it is.
It really ought to be a perma ban to do this.
I recall during wod a PvP group I was in wanted to raid Goldshire, which I kind of thought was unreasonable, since it’s a low level zone with levelers in it. I got them to attack Stormshield instead, which was a lot of fun. And a fair fight!
Based.
Unbased. i withdraw my previous based judgement. Doubled down by the fact that they’re reporting like sissies.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with raiding any town. World PvP is cool.
But the mass reporting is absolutely single cellular life behavior.
I found it a lot more fun running around Stormshield chasing down people who had logged out flagged.
Soon all actions including bans will be automated with AI so you need not worry about it.
isn’t gy camping against TOS as well as the social contract?
hehehe
messed around…
found out…
reported the defenders in retaliation=cowardice
I say you form up a couple 40man raids and hit Org and the rest of the horde leaders to get your mounts and achievements this weekend.
For the Alliance!!!
GY camping is a rotten thing to do. If you don’t want to get reported, be a decent person. Why would you even want to bully people out of the zone to begin with? It’s not very role-play like to fight an RP battle at a spawn point. You make others hate you as a person for playing that way. When you make your play style a personal attack, this is where it goes.
No. They did make graveyards in Tol Barad immune, though. So we know the technology exists.
Meanwhile in Classic,
The Crossroads is under attack.
I have never heard of anyone getting punished for camping a graveyard. Its always been considered a PvP activity that is resolvable using PvP methods. Heck, when I played Horde I got caught up in an Alliance attack on Crossroads and some guy camped my poor little toon trying to get back to his body. Nobody made any reports about that. You do the fight, you deal with the result was always the attitude.
I find it difficult to believe PvP has changed that much.
