Currently, casting Mass Invisibility will automatically break you out of invisibility.
Use fire blast (or any spell), then immediately cast Mass Invisibility. You will break invisibility, through combat alone – not even casting again or taking damage.
This is not good. As a PvP talent, what good is it if it doesn’t work when in combat and not taking damage?

Was wondering if anyone else can confirm this? Please take a minute out of your day?
- Head to ValDragon
- Turn on Warmode
- Select Mass Invisibility under PvP Talents
- Throw a spell at the PvP dummy
- Hit Mass Invisibility
- Surprise, you are still visible.
Profit off a PvP talent that can only be used in an opener. If your partner gets into combat, too bad for you. BGs? Borderline useless.
Please fix this, Blizzard. It wasn’t broken before.

This is an issue for me too. This has lead to losses in arena when needed most.
Do any of you by any chance have any gear that damages the user equipped? Like Shadowflame embellishments or the Vessel of Searing Shadow? Because those dots do break invisibility.
No, I do not.
You can check the bug yourself by going to the PvP dummy. Try using greater invisibility and it’ll automatically conceal you. Then try combat and use mass invisibility, and you’ll immediately come out.
Only can be used as an openor and I doubt that was their intention as it worked perfectly fine before.
Same here, just tested even naked. if I am in combat, it just goes on CD like nothing happened.
Still no fix for this bug. Over one month after being reported. Quick to fix bugs that affect PvE, but PvP is left hanging?
Oh I can see where this is going we PVP,lol, good job blizz.
What do you mean? I think because it specifically affects PvP, it’s a bottom of priority thing.
Why would you use mass invisibility shield in pvp? mass granking. To sneak up on the unaware that’s why. I could see this happening in the main cities just like the mass portal used by guilds.LOL.yep.
Yeah it started doing it to me but I just found out it’s because of the charged soles armor. Which I still don’t understand how that is considered an action when all it’s doing is giving me a buff while moving. Does receiving any type of buff/proc or anything break it?
It acts similar to shadowmeld. Being able to drop target, and action will remove you from mass invisibility – like, you can’t release an arcanosphere during Mass Invis.
The problem is, it is a PvP talent that DOES NOT work like it used to in the past patch. It is broken. As soon as you enter combat, it does not work, when it used to since its introduction.
Seems silly that months have passed, and no fix.
No, buffs and procs don’t break it. Only your actions and being hit. The current problem is that it will break with even entering combat or staying in combat.
If the proc is a spell effect, then yes, it’ll break it (but damage boosts, etc, won’t).
Hope this helps.
patch is live, still broken
Surely this is a joke? I haven’t longed in yet. Broken since May. It isn’t some obscure bug either, since they have two talents for it on the talent tree. Doesn’t this stuff get tested?
Mass invisibility breaks at random times when I have no buffs or debuffs on myself. Using this to skip in keys is impossible.
Bump, this bug still occurs… For me its casting mass invis then as soon as I try cast anything it instantly breaks
This is not a bug, it’s a feature. The devs explained that they intend for it to break as soon as you start casting a spell rather than after you finish. This is consistent with other similar effects.
