How are these not banned.
They not only lesson the value of human interaction, but also
lesson the quality, and value of a guild. Due to the random uncontrolled
nature of mass insta guild invites, you end up with guilds where
99% of people quit day 1, and no one has any idea why they are there.
most of them do nothing, and they are just annoying shells of a former self
desperately trying to add to its immovable failure.
Seriously Blizz, Ion, dude. You remove fun things like shaman wolf form mount speed in the open world, but don’t ban these? I can’t wait to hear how some people think mass random guild channel inviting is good.
If it didn’t exist, people would seek out guilds, and take them more seriously.
There would be fewer, and of high quality.
These addons that do this need to be BANNED. I saved the best for last.
They are spammed in whispers, even if disabled via the interface.
Constantly spamming people, interfering with raid information, and the like.
Ion, guy, dude, bro, mr, person man.
ban these addons, and ban those who use them for a week.
What an abomination.

I met the awesome people I’m in a guild with today because of a mass inviting guild. True it’s not the same guild we were initially invited to but I like to think that the random chance of mass inviting brought us all together.

It can create mixed experiences. Back in Legion I was randomly invited into a guild and it turned out to be one of the best guilds I was in until some elitists were invited then the thing imploded hard.

You do realize that if you do this, the guys who do Guild recruitment are going to go back to just using /who, right click whisper, CTRL+V, and so and so forth down the line, right?
It will slightly inconvenience them, and will not eliminate the spam. As it is, most of those add-ons send a Guild invite first, and if the Guild invite is allowed they then send you a recruitment message. Meaning if you have Guild Invites disabled in your interface most of those add-ons will ignore you as they get a failed invite message and so they won’t fire the recruitment whisper.

Say that to the plethora of noobs / new players I’ve brought into my guild who had very little idea how to go about playing the game until my core members and myself guided them through their classes and how to level up fast.
We supplie new recruits with bags small amounts of gold and send them On their way.
We have 60-80 active members daily with a booming guild chat and around 10 people chatting in discord all the time.
This is all thanks to mass guild invite. And btw many many many of these people sincerely thank me and the guild for bringing them on board.

Everyone here use’s the addon. haha.
Stop being lazy, and work for your members.
Give people a reason to want to join.
Have character, and a personality.
Spamming mass wide invites is pathetic, and shameful.
Auto-invite guilds are cesspool guilds.

Just block g invites in settings…

Yeah just discredit what I said, sure.
Just because you’ve had a bad experience doesn’t mean you should apply it to everybody.
Btw I whisper players first. If they are interested, I invite them.

I got invited to one like this. Awesome guild with older people in it. No drama. Lots of goofiness. These are people I’d be happy to have a beer with in real life.

See this is what I mean. This is pretty much exactly us and we make sure every member feels valued and apart of something.
Great, I’m glad out of the 99% of people you spam, and annoy 5% became your close friend, and gee, you’ve helped each other so much too! This can be proven by joining any guild that is random like this. maybe 3 people will be online, and most never say a word. 800 members, 2 online. Welcome to our invite spammed guild full of nothing!
I can’t wait until one day they decide to rework the guild systems, and they call out all the slimy, slippery car salesman that shamelessly, and quite lazily hit “mass invite”
I wouldn’t want to be in a guild where the leader was too lazy to actually go out and look for members himself. But instead invites anyone, and anything at anytime into the guild not knowing anything about them or if they would hurt it in any way. But it doesn’t matter to you cause you’re guild is nothing.
“Just block g invites in settings…”
Except the whisper still goes through.

See you’re just completely wrong. You know nothing about how I choose people, and you know nothing about how many active members we have. You’re just saying crap with nothing to back it up.
You joined some bad alliance guild through mass invite and had a bad experience I get it. Don’t smear everyone with the same brush.

Perfect, now you assume I’m suppose to know how you personally do everything?
I never claimed you personally didn’t. Stop trying to make an argument out of one that was never made.
“You’re just saying crap with nothing to back it up.”
I’ve already backed it up, it’s factual.
wow random guild invites (google that)
You’ve been debunked right there.
There, backed up further.
People have been complaining about this for a while, it’ll be fixed one day.
You’re just lazy, stop mass inviting people via a whisper, or actual notice.
It’s just lazy, it shows a lazy leader, and it shows a lack of character, or quality to your guild. this shows factually also as well (more backing up) in the statistics.
Any random invite guilds running mythics? getting high in an RGB group?
More than 10 people online?
no.
You’ve lost, you’re mad about it, you’ve been called out and you can’t handle the heat. No matter what happens to this post, or to me. It’s factual, and trust me. They will fix it. They’ve talked about it. One day, you and your crew will be banned. And I’ll laugh when it happens. And it will.
Stop being lazy, stop making excuses, and actually be a leader and find people truthfully instead of your copy and paste nonsense.
A leader so weak, and pathetic they can’t even write something personal for each member, or try to find real members instead of a roster grind.

“Guild” is a four-letter word to Blizzard at the moment. Any threads related to their state, good or bad, are being ignored.

Just turn off Guild Invites in your Interface options. You won’t be bothered by the addons anymore.

I use a similar tactic when recruiting members (I send out in-game mails instead of whispers so it’s less inconvenient, but the point remains). Why do I do this? If a raiding guild like mine stops getting new members, said guild inevitably dies. The game is large enough where a very small percentage of guilds have any sort of reputation, and other guilds have to get their members somehow in order to stay alive. While I choose to scout out the players I contact in this way, I see recruitment spam by mediocre guilds, be it via whisper or trade chat, as a necessary evil so that guilds and communities that are actually worth your time don’t die out
Yeah lol I don’t care what you say but it’s funny that you are so sure people will get banned for this. Trust me. That’ll never happen buddy boy

Don’t worry, I’m sure next expansion guilds won’t even be a thing anymore. Gotta keep catering the game for people with the attention span and social commitments of a goldfish.
