If Mass Dispell is going to be a 2 min cooldown, they could at least make it instant cast.
Not going to lie, that seems like a fair trade. I can see it being a problem/complaint in PvP though with the 1 minute cooldown PvP talent, so they’d have to either remove that or adjust it.
Kinda agree. They neutered some of our utility but still haven’t given an interrupt so im all for instant MD

I was definitely feeling the increased cast time while removing bursting this past week. There were some deaths lol.
Spriests were murdered this season… asking for Instant MD is kinda like asking “can we at least have a proper burial?”
They mayswell remove MD at this point.
You’ll die without any CC these days, shad instead need another defensive.
And Disc and Holy caught strays in the process.

Um, no. You can remove some of those powerful defensives that exist in the game. It’s an ability that deserves to be interrupted.
Mass Dispel should be buffed in some form. I don’t mind a 2-minute CD if the power of the spell is proportioned.
My suggestion is that it should simply dispel all magic debuffs on all allies and all buffs on all enemies, instead of all harmful Magic from just 5 friendly targets and just 1 beneficial Magic effects from just 5 enemy targets.
Or buff it to also remove diseases.
Making it instant-cast removes the possibility for counterplay, which is probably less healthy for the game imo.
That would be the worst move for pvp. With a pvp talent making MD a 1 min CD, and it having the side effect of removing five minute CD defensive cooldowns, It’s already an incredible game winning the deciding ability. Removing it’s only counterplay is a terrible idea.
I like this idea. It being instant cast would be pretty awful for paladins. Mages, I think, can spec into have two ice blocks as frost at least.
Pvp has its own tuning. And I want insta cast for PvE.
I dont want my spells to be tuned around the pvp minority (personal opinion)

If intant cast MD (without removing enemy buffs and defensives) was a choice node with the alternative being it now removes enemies buffs/deffensives and has a 2 second cast time, either being a 1 min cd with the pvp talent, all pvp priests would still opt for the version they have now. But PVE priests might like having instant cast for removing debuffs on allys faster. Could be a good compromise. I dont see any way to make MD instant cast AND continue to remove all enemy defensives rolling fair in pvp.
I agree unless they did something like give paladins two charges of bubble, but that may cause more issues than it fixes.
Two bubble charges on paper sounds crazy over powered, but that wouldn’t even fix the problem that’s going on right now. A ret is killed seconds after a bubble is removed early or ends naturally, this does not give time for forbearance to fall off for another application of any large defensive. Removing forbearance would do more for paladin than an extra charge of bubble. An ok played rogue will lose 1v1 vs a good Ret, we dont necessarily counter rogue but we can deal with them, when it is 1vs 1. Adding a Priest or Warrior removing our defensives and their rogue partner or Mage or whoever removes all our health very quickly. It really boils down to the fact that we have a healer also, but effective cc decides who wins. Ret has weak cc compaired ro most. Being able to remove 5 minute cool down deffensives because you push a button doesn’t help. And maybe I’m bias, if the wow devs blessed paladins instead of priests or warriors with the ability to remove massive defensive cooldowns from all enemies maybe I wouldn’t complain. It certainly does feel bad having your defenses removed, that much I know.
Actually, i kinda wish mass dispel also worked on diseases, since its what you can dispel. Orake ir would on all dispell types except bleeds
