Hey guys, my main profession is Enchanting.
I think we should have a QOL upgrade for disenchanting. Even with addons it is too slow to disenchant large quantities of items. Yesterday I manually disenchanted over 1500 boes.
I think it would be a great feature to add to the game and make our lifes easier.

I have always assumed the main issue was disenchanting actual gear in your bags by accident. A lot of players carry more than one gear set.
Milling and prospecting on the other hand are simple as you only have a few types of herbs and ore, so they can create abilities that only mill winters kiss. I don’t really see that happening for enchanting. The best you might get is the ability to mass DE while AFK all BoEs in your bag, but oops, you forgot about that 2 mil 415 titanforge that dropped the other day and now you need to hassle the GMs to get it back, leading to increased support costs.

Till the day you hit the Mass DE button and away goes a piece of gear you need for your raid spec that the GM won’t replace!

There is the item restoration page that can help for getting back gear you sell or scrap. I assume it will also work for disenchanted items, though I have not tried it to confirm it works.
I highly doubt a mass disenchant will be added for the reason already stated by others. It could be too easy to mess it up and start disenchanting gear you want to keep.
Points to the scrapping system. Have one container like bag which you can but 20 items then click one button to disenchant those 20. They can even DE one after other like the scrapping does now.

This is what I was thinking about. You need to input what you want, and it mass DE. easy

Even if it saves one click per DE, it would be better than the way it is now. How about the way the scrappers work, with a put-it-in-there pane, then hit “DE”?
It’s not even a QOL issue, it’s becoming a “how long can I play WoW” with carpal tunnel and trigger thumb?
