I think many of us are experiencing the same frustration today with the mass disconnects that are hitting the game. It’s beyond frustrating, especially when it’s not the fault of the players, but it’s still our toons that are being impacted. We’re paying for subscriptions, and Blizzard makes a lot of money off of these. So, when these types of technical issues occur, it’s hard not to feel like we’re getting the short end of the stick.
What’s even worse is when players lose their characters due to these DC-induced deaths. Hours, sometimes days, of work down the drain. I’m sorry for those who have lost their characters because of this—luckily, I’m not one of them, but I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. Blizzard really needs to step up here and restore these lost characters or at least provide some form of compensation to the players affected. It’s not fair that we have to bear the brunt of these technical issues when we’re the ones keeping the game alive with our subscriptions.
If Blizzard is making so much from subscriptions, it’s time for them to take responsibility and ensure that they’re doing everything they can to fix this issue and compensate the players who’ve been impacted. We deserve better.
Anyone else feel this way? Has anyone had their characters lost due to these DCs? Let’s get some visibility on this, and hopefully, Blizzard will take action!

I feel this way, but I also know Blizzard doesn’t care and won’t reinstate any lost characters.
Might as well wish for a winning lottery number.

I bet we’re getting DDOS’d. And we wonder why Doomhowl went from a Full server to Medium load for the last few days. People are giving up?

Lost my lvl 49 mage that was SSF… took me a while to get to this point and most likely died to something lvl 47 or below. this is just crazy how i died in todays mass DC. I will most likely be cancelling all 3 accounts.

I actually had no idea there were issues. Just D/C underwater and that was that.

I had the same problem, and because of that disconnection, my character also died, and it’s not fair that many died due to Blizzard’s server disconnection issues. I believe Blizzard should revive the characters since the disconnection was their fault.

Many of you wanting Blizzard to make it right if you died on a HC server knowing darn well that they won’t be doing a single thing but laugh at its player base.

I 100% agree. I am also just so thankful I was able to hearth to safety. I’m level 38 and was stuck in the middle of lvl 40* gorillas in stv. Got d/c I got on as soon as I could just seconds later game lagging horribly but it managed to load me pressing hearth I was able to make it to Org. I feel so so so so bad for all of those who died from this. The guy who was helping me almost died he some how managed to get away from the mobs and logged off. I think each and every player should be protected by all server wide lag issues. It’s not our fault it happen. Crazy day.

I agree that dying to DC is probably the worst way to go.
RIP to the fallen!
But rollbacks or toon restores are (and should be) out for the question. The first toon that gets restored is the end of HC IMO.
We go Agane

just here to meme about hardcore players complaining about hardcore mechanics

“Welcome to WoW Classic Hardcore Realms. Any character that dies on a Hardcore realm can never resurrect on that realm for ANY reason”
Sounds like you should have clicked “Decline” instead of “I agree” is what I’m reading. Those that survive the bitter taste of a DC get to enjoy the sweet taste of life that much more knowing they’re one of the lucky. Those that dies can move their toon to non HC or GO AGANE.

Stop being a shill for Blizzard. People like you are why they keep getting away with lousy service. In no way is a player responsible or should be held responsible for Blizzard’s disconnects.

i agree 100 percent its one thing to lose your character to your own stupidity but due to a ddos attack. Blizzard should bring them back to life

For an issue this widespread (it was nearly all servers), they have the capability to roll back entire servers of characters and they could do so to the moment right before the crashes. But yeah, probably nothing instead.

You didn’t understand anything, right? Man, it’s hundreds of hours. A DDOS attack isn’t hardcore mechanics.
