1800+ you’ll find someone running scripts or bots. Please for the love of god fix this.

When will this be addressed?

Blizzard collects data about what scripts and bots are being used and does periodic ban waves.
Doing it this way reduces the ability of the writers of this type of software to determine how they are being detected.
Anyone using scripts or bots do not get to keep their achievements for long, and often their entire account is banned.

It may be partly true that Blizzard are trying to reduce the virus evolution race between bans and bot development, but some bot / script creators have admitted that what they do is absurdly easy to track and could be stamped down instantly. They know what they’re doing that’s being detected.
I think it’s more of a business decision that Blizzard allows a window of enjoyment and value to the bot users, striking a balance where they see value in purchasing new accounts at the cost of the expansion(s). Banning bot activity instantly could probably eliminate this market but it’s likely a significant income stream.
It’s a win-win for Blizzard to appear to be doing the right thing while also earning more money than they would by doing nothing, or by being more active. It’s the perfect middle ground.

Warden can’t legally be invasive enough to run at a level that detects most of these bots you realize
Warden can scan your processes mostly iirc when it downloads itself to your pc
I posted on the forums a while back about how blatant cheating is in WoW and every forum clown just said I was paranoid and dumb. I love that now the videos have come out on just how easy it is to cheat. Kick bots, rotation bots, and all of that have been around since Cataclysm, so people really thought this game wasn’t being even more massively abused as bots got more advanced?
Cheating is way more prevalent than people realize. I saw an article the other day where they did a study and over 50% of players they surveyed admitted to cheating in online video games. I get that stats and surveys aren’t totally accurate, but I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if the cheating isn’t even more rampant than that. Cheating is just too accessible and easy. And the “ban waves” allow players to get gold, achievements, and do quite a bit of damage before they are finally banned, if they are ever even caught. It just takes too long to enforce anything and it’s all pointless.

It is addressed, they get a time out for a couple months. Think of all the extra accounts they buy so they can keep going, its a win win for Blizzard. One ban wave equals hundreds of accounts purchased.
Past 1800 its mostly people who play wow as a full time job, how they make their living, those accounts are not gonna boost themselves ya know.
OP is right though, I see alot of players throttling their internet connection to become immune to damage.
AND I saw a BOT today, 2s we beat the team’s dps, then stopped thinking the healer would just leave. It just stood there, after a min once we hit a spell then it started reacting and moving doing its auto rotation.
Weird Lag spikes too in arena, not in RBGs, not in BGs, BG Blitz, raids nothing, only in arena and did not start until I passed 1800. Fiberop, highest package my city ISP offers, but who knows. I have not seen anyone else complain about that soo…
OP, I think wow is right where Corporate wants it to be… Tons of media like Diablo 4, to sell the expansion, they make huge profits, then lay off a ton of staff, share holders are happy. They are already working on the expansion AFTER the next one already lol.

2 reasons, one is many, and I mean MANY players enjoy their seasonal boost or glad mount, and they defend any talk about taking that away from them.
The other reason is over 200+ servers in wow, someone is advertising 24 hours a day on every single server. Often multiple 3rd party organizations competing for sales. Thats alot of 3rd party employee overhead… Cost of sales, equipment, accounts, operators who do the ground work… Alotta peeps with rent n bills to pay.
What are we up to now 200 Glads in this season? Think about it, 200 Glad Mounts for around a grand a pop each, thats 200k tax free unreported bucks soo far early season, cashiola under the table to overseas accounts…
Where there is money involved, you will find shady activities, in ALL games and sports.

If blizzars tuned their anticheat to the lowest level then peoole would complain about their info being stolen. I mean they did when Mihoyo had just released genshin impact.
cheating really not that prevalent at all.
you may see a handful of people scripting per season.
but as is tradition with every game and sport there definitely are cheaters, it’s just not very common

Recent asmongold video talking about gold sales RMT is rampant in SOD, no wander many of the elite players back their bags and moved to SOD lol.
Another Asmon video showing a R1 player who confesses to making over 100k in a past expansion selling carries.
On every server in ALL of wow, 24 hours a day trade chat is full of Advertisements selling arena ratings. There is a reason you see tons of Glad level players at low and high ratings. ALL pvp rewards have been monetized by 3rd party organizations.
Recently in 2s me and my buddy beat a team in arena, the dps died so we stopped thinking the resto shaman would leave. It just stood there, after a min we hit it with a spell, it auto reacted. We played with it for a bit until we got bored and killed it. It was following script, ROBOT lol.
I think our opinions do not matter, Millions is being stolen from the game by 3rd party actors, and now that Microsoft is in charge they are not gonna allow their money to be stolen any longer. BIG changes are coming.
In short, the Gravy train is about to end.

Cheating is probably more common than people think, it’s human nature. People are constantly looking for any advantage. I have known people that have were banned out of the blue that I would have never guessed.
