Marriage for Talanji

Assuming that Zandalari function like any regular monarchy are we sseing soon herself binding to a possible partner? Like she needs to continue the line that was unbroken since the days of Dazar himself. And don’t say Zekhan she made it clear their relationship is work related only.

We’re unlikely to see it happen any time soon. Blizzard has made it abundantly clear that they’re not interested in playing CK3 with WoW’s characters.

They did it with most human nations so I had hope she might marry a Zandalari priest or soemething.

It would be a great chance to reintroduce Yenniku…

What? Anduin is not married. Tess isnt married. Jaina isnt married. Danath is not married

So those are leaders of Stormwind, Gilneas, Kul Tiras and Kirin Tor/survivors of Dalaran and Stromgarde. Unmarried human leaders are the current norm and not the exception.

I guess you can count Turaylon being married to Alleria but that was before he became regent of Stormwind.

I don’t mind holding off on this sort of story for a few years. The broad is young. I see no rush to marry her off - especially considering the lack of eligible suitors. I would prefer we give the story a lot of time to either find some suitor or build one up out of no where.

For my part, I want Zekhan to just go away. That would be unlikely, since he was in cinematics and stuff. Smart money is on him being her hubby … she could do better.

I could go on about why Zekhan sucks and should be banished from time and thought- but I know he has been in cinematics. So he is probably going to marry Talanji.

Maybe that’s why I am not in a rush for it to be a thing.

I would hope we find some relative of Voljin? Or Rokhan? Rokhan is pretty old but maybe he could fit the bill?

I just don’t want anymore of Zekhan, but I think he might be a thing going forward. So I try to stay my ire about it.

This is me staying my ire about it.

I am sure there are enough important people in Zandalar who would try to court her.

It’s also worth considering that Talanji might have a lot more time than most Horde leaders to address such things, since her unique connection to the loa as queen might make her exceptionally long-lived like prior Zandalari rulers.

I’m of the opinion that it’s already obnoxious enough that half of the original Horde allied race leaders immediately became +1s who don’t exist outside their relationship to their designated partner to the point where they forgot Mayla even existed as a character in relation to Ebonhorn.

Until Talanji can stand on her own as part of the main cast of at least one or two (non-BfA) expansions, I really don’t want to hear about her love life.

And maybe by then someone will accidentally write a character she actually has chemistry with instead of trying to smash her together with every vaguely recognizable male troll.

She is a queen. She can’t marry below her status.

Oh, that’s why they remembered Dagran exists suddenly and updated him from basic infant!

I am, and I cannot emphasize this enough, joking.

Yeah, the fan-fictiony shipping stuff is not an improvement imho. As I like bringing up repeatedly, I know more about Thalyssra’s wedding plans than I do about the Horde Council.

Zekhan is fanservice. The less of him the better.

I like peanut butter.

Well, you see, I too like peanut butter, but only when it is with other things. I have concluded that peanut butter alone is blah. But peanut butter enhances other things!! Jelly or jam, chocolate, ramen, toast, bagels, and more!! But alone, just peanut butter? It is frustration. It is messy. It sticks to your mouth and fingers and nose. And then dogs start chasing you because you smell like peanut butter, and although you like dogs, this is a very big dog. Very, very big.

So you run from the dog, and you thought the door was unlocked, but it was very much locked and you run head-first into a locked door, and then there’s a giant dog slobbering over your prone body, trying to eat your nose, getting mud all over you, and you’d dressed nice for work but now it’s all ruined, and…

This story did not happen to me. It happened to a friend of mine named Anylsa. Not me.

Peanut butter needs other things to be good.

Look shipping can be fun, but i do have to agree that until talanji stands on her own as a character we don’t need to see her bolted on to some other male character, especially with blizzard usually writes love.

I don’t mean to undermine her lore presence. I just noticed the trend that almost every leader got a love interest latley. That is my intention.
