It’s about your claiming that there has never been any basis for (non-female) pet-less ranged weapon users within the Warcraft universe, and claiming that anyone asking the ability to access MM’s full kit without a pet is ignorant of the lore… while clearly having next to zero knowledge of the setting prior to the vanilla WoW cinematic.
Except you’ve asked across multiple threads now for the removal of Lone Wolf and have argued against every suggestion to separate access to the effects of Master’s Call, Primal Rage, and Fortitude/Survival from one’s pet. (Suggestions which, btw, usually come from the same people advocating that Lone Wolf not have any unique damage bonus relative to the combined damage of hunter and pet.)
That is asking for every spec, regardless of whether they have anything to do with pet usage, to have to use a pet.
And, again — where? Where is that happening? A forum search of any variation on the idea shows only people asking either merely for Lone Wolf parity or comments given under a condition (“if using a pet would otherwise be impossible to balance against not doing so”). You keep claiming there’s this big, bad group wanting to “remove MM pets altogether,” but any search shows exactly the opposite.
I have seen requests for choice, as opposed to the pathetic back-and-forth of dismissing our pet for AoE and being forced to pre-summon it before any fight where we’ll need MC or PL. No, I have not seen requests for MM pets’ outright removal outside of extreme hypotheticals.
