From a pvp pov. MM finally had perfect play style, with the on demand damage you could hold on to until you had a good cc chain going with cross cc on off target. I would be fine with less damage but leave the lock and load playstyle. People complaining about it have never tried playing MM vs any class with disarm and 2 brain cells. The spec is also just a target dummy for any combination of 2 melee. Now in midnight we will go back to trading 30% hp to get off a 3sec cast while people run around you in circles. Game play loop will be standing still spinning camera so people canât get behind you at the end of the cast. They are going to have to make aimed shot hit like a truck to compensate. Maybe there needs to be some sort of âshoot from the hipâ mechanic with a damage penalty. Idea #1: Aimed shot turns into âQuick Shotâ which is castable while moving but has a damage penalty. Idea#2 Even simpler just make steady shot actually do some meaningful damage for when you are on the move and make steady shot also trigger precise shots. Both of these ideas give you freedom to move and when itâs safe to do so you can RP the âlong cast big damageâ fantasy that nobody wants except for the devs.
Just highlighting the important part here. For me, no amount of damage can compensate for unfun gameplay.

I would like to see a talent that makes volley a precise shot spender (with reduced damage of course). Would be sick to just rain arrows down from the sky after every aimed shot/rapid fire.
Cant wait to go back to having zero utility, bringing only DPS but being mid at best for the only thing we do.

thats a balance issue not a mechanic issue. I am talking mechanically. Full casting 3 seconds does not mean good mechanics, kind of like casting interruptible Eye Beam.
Volley is a ground target and those feel terrible to press compared to how fluid explosive shot is. As for the demon hunter under you, pvp changes should never impact pve lmao. They have separate balancing knobs. They can nerf pvp mm individually.
It could work if they turned volley into a @target spell like they did for SP shadow crash, and in midnight blizzard, flamestrike, rain of fire are all getting the choice of @target or place yourself. Its just hunter now that has to place
itâs crazy they always keep trying to make MM hunter this version that is slow and boring that no one wants or even asks for. The devs literally doing it for themselves and not their players. People like mm the way it is now. so why change it other than having a ego.
Streamline is a bread and butter buff for mm hunter in order to cast aimed shot in PvP, removing it is dooming mm hunter pvp.
