Dark Ranger is in a state where it is undeniably non-competitive for Marksman Hunters in all PvE senarios.
This is the spec that I play and want to continue to play - unfortunately the damage is just not comparable to mid-high tier class/specs.
Please take a look at how Marksman Dark Ranger is performing and try to adjust the damage in a positive direction.
The 3 week radio silence since the changes after the rework is long enough to compile data - and to see that it is underperforming.
I’ve just parked my hunter main for now and playing other classes until they fix MM DR…it’s really sad that they still haven’t said anything about fixing it
Week 4, of no changes. im glad im just playing osrs now and not having to worry about being competitive.
Same, I’m glad I got some raiding done on mine at least before it got messed with too much to enjoy as much. I refuse to go BM, so I’m maining DK for now, and might either get my Rogue or sp into M+ depending on how fast I hit my goal for rating.

Marksmen is uncompetitive in pve especially considering how effortless it is to play survival.
Not long enough to punish the usual suspects, I’d say, and definitely not for other insults. We can argue it’s underperforming for some VERY GOOD reasons right about now. Not the most likeable thing to proclaim, but it’s deserved.
I’m fine with it until 11.1, even 11.2. It wouldn’t actually bother me because I dealt with worse. Midnight is supposed to launch next-next February anyway.

PvP feedback:
Marks was at a high point in terms of balance:competitiveness before they decided to blow up and replace the dark ranger hero tree. It’s undertuned, and its core mechanic is something that can’t be tuned properly in PvP. It’s just frustrating. They could have just not replaced dark ranger until it was ready and we’d have a marks spec to play in PvP right now.
8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3. I would throw in Leg but I’m aware it did Gucci in the PvE scene.
In the Borrowed Power chapter of history, take an itineration of MM that doesn’t use Vulnerability and doesn’t have Killshot. Imagine Rapid Fire, AShot, and Arcshots being the ONLY things you really have, along with Double Tap. We also lost Windburst when we gave up our arties without it being baked in as a learned ability.
Piercing Shot that DOESN’T use Vuln is also garbo. You also didn’t have Serpent Sting baked in with AShot either.
In essence of what I’m saying: you don’t have an execute, particularly a proc system to use it more.
I played 35 hours a week during BFA, so I dealt with this garbage longer than many. I’m already cringing about Classic BFA too. There is no way DF and TWW is worse, because when you look at it at a glance, BFA only really had three abilities that were important and they really didn’t do impressive damage. I will remark that the TShot upgrade in 8.1 was a significant improvement.

Was this in Cata? I noticed that and I found it quite droll.
it was BFA season 1, our best Azerite trait was the one where steady shot juiced your aimed shot stacking up 5 times and all our other traits sucked so the entire rotation was “steadyx5 then aimed” XD it was a dps loss to press rapid fire lol
