I have multiple characters I am trying to get their class mounts and no matter what I do I can’t get Mark of the Sentinax to drop (not a single one). I am assuming it is because Illidan isn’t giving me the quest Mark of the Sentinax despite me having completed (and confirmed many times) that I have completed the precursor quest The Shadow of the Sentinax on these characters.
I have tried farming beacons both the lesser and greater Sentinax Beacons and when I use them defeating the demons that come out of the portals… all I get is nethershards. Same for using the Nether Portal disruptor on the unstable portals and defeating those demons, I just get nethershards.
I am honestly at a loss for how to progress as I need this step to complete my class mounts via the meta-achivement Breaching the Tomb for several characters.
This is probably the reason Illidan isn’t offering the quest.
It might be the Champions of Legionfall part of it, because that takes you back to the class hall initially. It would be easy to leave this part of the questline unfinished. But that is just a guess.
I thought because I have had the quest from initially getting a beacon which I hand in for the quest “Shadow of the Sentinax” and completed that, that it would make the collecting Marks obtainable.
This is always my most dreaded step when trying to get Breaching the Tomb. I’ve never be fortunate enough to find any groups when I’m running it and no one joins the groups I start.
A truly painful experience.
even if you’re on the Mark of Sentinax quest and have turned in that first beacon, the beacons just don’t drop…
it’s pretty god damn ridiculous to expect us all to grind like this in 4 year old content on literally every single character. this whole achievement wouldn’t be so bad if this specific part of it wasn’t so broken. i’m already irritated and exhausted with the time-gated follower missions i have to complete for the class order campaign… i’ve even lost focus on what the hell the lore in the quests was about - all because i’m forced to wait several hours for fake characters to run several fake missions for me… so now i’m left with literally nothing else other than a mind-numbing grind with no context or flavor… i guess i can use my sub fees on classic so i don’t feel so stupid for paying them.
yes fixing a single quest in the entire chain so that the grind is more bearable for players to complete 12 different times for 12 unique classes - that would be literally just HANDING people their class mount (a single mount out of literal hundreds)… god forbid they optimize 4 year old content…
EDIT: just woke up, made some coffee, and thought “hey i’m refreshed for some grinding” and immediately hit a time gate where i have to wait 8 hours for imaginary characters to run imaginary missions… sick dude. maybe if i close my eyes and think really hard i can pretend like i’m playing a video game.
