Mark of Honor

How does one go about collecting these? Are BG’s the best way to get these at the moment? I have some PVP quest such as win one brawl and Korraks revenge that requires 500 honor from the AV event but not sure how long that would take. Looking to purchase gear sets but not sure how to start accumulating these marks of honor.

they mostly come from bgs over level 111, they still drop under that level but its rare

Is it a guaranteed drop if you win a BG?

i dont think so but you are more likely to get them if you win. you can get them for losing too, and sometimes you get more than one

I get mine from random bgs mostly. You can get them from the strongbox rewards for winning and completing bgs.

I’ve noticed that wins net you more marks (1-3 usually) from strongboxes, while a loss might net you 1 mark.

You used to be able to get 5 from the comp stomp weekly. I don’t know what they did this time but that quest isn’t offered.

I have been running Korraks revenge on all my characters but I sure miss doing that comp stomp for some variety.

How long did 500 honor take you to get with Korraks revenge?

They are BoA and you can farm them on any character and mail them to any other of your characters even across server and faction lines.

I’ve never paid too much attention to it but you get them at max level for arenas and bgs and not necessarily if you win but the odds are much higher if you do win. The Call To Arms pvp weekly quests usually reward some. I think the weekly conquest cap will also reward them.

The Legion pvp world quests would often reward them too but I haven’t done one of those in ages. It would be explicitly shown as the wq reward when they did.

Like 10 minutes maybe.

Honor and marks of honor are different.

Honor is what you accumulate as you get honorable kills or just given 10 or so during the BG. You basically just earn these to get to the next “Honor Level”. Just gives you stuff as you level it up.

Marks of Honor are what you get at the end of each BG. They are basically a currency, and you can trade them between alts.

500 honor from Korrak’s Revnge is very fast. Side not: Korrak’s Revenge does not reward any Marks of Honor. Which kind of sucks, but it’s understandable I guess.

If you have any of your Order Halls open, you can occasionally get 1 as a bonus reward from a rare mission.

Also marks of honor and just honor are two different things.

Marks of Honor
https://www.wowhead.com/item=137642/mark-of-honor
are boa currency items that takes up space in your bags and can be used to buy pvp sets (for xmogs) and other stuff (like steak and potatoes feasts)

Honor you get from killing other characters and for participating in pvp events. They are points that count towards achievements and “honor levels”. Specific honor levels can reward mounts, titles, toys and similar stuff.

Do Comp Stomp which is going on now. First game, with a win, gets you about 8. And then you can get them rather easily by doing the Comp Stomp once a day, at least that’s what I do but I also have 17 max level toons I rotate through it.

Just be aware that as of right now there is a bug that won’t let you leave Comp Stomp AB. I just Tab + Alt out and close game.

Currently if you do two avs you should enough honor to turn in Soldiers In Time.

You get 10 marks. Do that on all of your alts and you should be good.

Just do the Ivus quest - that gives you 1500 honor. So if you join at the start less than 5 minutes.

I used to abuse getting these things in Legion with the WQ blasters on both factions, it was the best way to farm for them if you didn’t PvP. Look for a WQPvP Tower on the map, blast it, easy 4-5 marks per character. I collected well over 600 Marks of Honor before they removed that feature.

I got a bazillion of mine in Legion, getting my three “mains” all of the transmogs.

I LOVED those “PVE” “PVP” WQ’s, wish they had them in BFA.

Are you getting these without a quest in there ? I was using that to farm them but I seem to remember a quest and nothing shows up now except for my fresh 120s.

nvm - it appears the quest just pops up when you enter now

The first time through you get 8 with the quest. After that I do it just once a day for the bonus honor and conquest and end up getting some. I’ll have to actually count them tomorrow and let you know what I come up with since all my toons will have wasted the quest by then. I try to write down what all 17 get and I’ll post it here.

Last time I played Comp Stomp I got enough to buy a PvP armor set for all 16.

Legion world quests no longer give them, but the “A good dustup” mission offers one as bonus loot
