March on the Marsh is complete garbage

  1. Much like the void dinosaur at the end of the Zuldazar assault, the controls for the submarines are wonky.

  2. The questing zone is needlessly far away from where you get your sub. I’ve had multiple times where I’ve mistakenly ran aground (my fault obviously) and it reset me all the way back at the docks where you get your sub.

  3. Having to kill 100 goblin saboteurs is pointless, tedious, and unnecessary. Why 100 slowly respawning mobs that you’re also fighting other players over?

This quest desperately needs simplified. This isn’t some final quest that ends some grand storyline chain.

Completely agree!!

Imo the quest should just be to go destroy the boats

you doing it wrong. Shooting jellyfish = 3%, depth charges = 5%. You can destroy the ships at the same time or you can go anywhere on the coast to find less competition.

The first time I did this one, there was only like 10 min left for the invasion and I swore the entire 9.5 minutes it took me to finish this damn thing.

Yeah the void dino one sucks too. If I didn’t want to unlock the new priestess moonsaber mount for my Alliance character, I wouldn’t bother doing invasions on that faction.

Hint:

I’ve never killed goblin dudes, unless maybe I ran into one.

Jellyfish, depth charges.

Hint 2:

You don’t HAVE to be in the “blue circle area.” I accidentally went outside of it, the jellyfish still count but no other players were out there. So I finished up quite fast.

7th legion legs again, lower than what I have…

OH YES, finally got something besides wrist/cloak/weapon from Stormgarde Warfront, 370 gloves!

i did this today on my dwarf shaman. all i can say is… idk if i will do this again. it took entirely too long and i couldn’t figure out what to do. then i’d randomly be sent back to the start and have to go all the way out there again. once i figured out what i had to do i just killed more schtuff until i was able to attack the big thing and then i hearthed and turned in. it was so unfun the only other thing i’ve done on him today (he’s my next 120 so leveling him is my goal for the next however long) is one epic bg. but it still felt crappy. the quest genuinely feels like crap.

Good tips from you and another poster below. I wasn’t aware that you could also kill jellyfish and depth charges.

Miserable and boring. So it’s very fitting for BFA.

This quest gives me a headache. When you have 7 level 120s it just hurts. I don’t care if you what you kill in the area it takes too damn long. Too much competition and slow respawn rates. The vehicle mechanics truly suck for this expansion. The horde quest in this area is sooooo much easier and takes 1/3 of the time.

This quest was poorly done. The sub controls sucked, ships you are to sink are not marked in any way, and it takes too long.

BFA will be the death of WOW.

Pro tip: start at Redfield Watch, or w/e that little hub is called, and work your way to the dock, where you know that dreadful little submarine is waiting for you. It seems like most of the invasions have a pretty obvious path you can follow, ending nearby to where the gryphon or what-have-you is waiting.

I found no turn in when I was done is this quest bugged? Just released when I was all done and there was nothing or npc for turn in.

Wanna know why? Because Blizzard will design content that slows you down on purpose. Whatever takes longest to complete. Whatever keeps you subscribed the longest. Hours upon hours of daily content…

It’s amazing how long it takes to accomplish such menial tasks in the game for usually a down/side grade item, a little rep, war resources, gold, and of course AP. I generally have 2-4 hours per day to play (more on Sunday when I’m off work). But i’m always running against the clock to get the “dailies” done!

There’s so much to do in WoW, I don’t even have time to play other games!
