This is a sick what-if, and as always the story overview is rife with cool ideas I hope the writers make palatable for the canon. Felblood elves and fel-wretched integrating into the Illidari in particular is a very logical development, and I’d love to see that Spellbreaker signature character as an NPC.
I’m also grateful Liadrin’s eighth unique costume didn’t rob Rommath and Halduron of their first pieces of official art. 
Is that an un-voided Umbric next to Rommath?
Looks like Varden Dawngrasp, the OC magister they invented for HS. Their backstory was the only place Rommath was even mentioned until now so no huge surprise they’d be together.
This whole thing is a retelling of Wrath’s launch event though so there’s a chance blood elf Umbric might show up. He probably wasn’t exiled that soon after the Sunwell was relit.
Ah, that explains the difference in hair color, since Blood Elf Umbric had black hair. Its just the same outfit Umbric wears is all. Thanks for clarifying!
I know its not canon or anything, but I think I’d prefer them sticking to the actual Blood Elf characters, just because most never see enough use, and throwing Umbric in there doesn’t do anything to advance the Void Elves non-existent narrative either.
I mentioned this in another thread but hearthstone blood elves seem to be an improvement over the mmo’s blood elves.

Considering this is a Lich King focused expansion, I am not betting good things will happen to the elves in this retelling.
Also, considering Hearthstone is flagging abit, this is TWO franchises being singlehandedly revived by Arthas.
The cinematic Herthstone released excites me more than the Dragonflight ones I have to admit.
I’m ready to embrace Hearthstone taking a more active role in shaping Warcraft lore. Their single player campaigns are surprisingly great. They are full of great stories and characters!
Oh look. All the other blood elf characters I despise. I hope Arthas kills them all. That is what they deserve of helping to get rid of Kael’thas and the Sunfury.
Umbric and Alleria are actually great characters who support their faction with full of heart. They are superior to any crap the blood elf cast has been up to whom’s narrative was over the minute TBC ended.
There are good things like the Mean Streets expansion. An actual flourishing goblin city that might be even bigger then Stormwind. And then there is …this. I have no hope left for blood elves.

… in other news, they unveiled three Astalor Bloodsworn pieces today. I like the guy well enough, even after the tear-stained letter incident all the bleeding hearts soured on him over, but he’s coming out like a bandit here. I demand four Rommaths.

I’d kill for some Spellbreakers in the actual game. One of the two most iconic Belf units from WC3 and we don’t have a class, spec, or major NPC after them. Please Blizzard, give us a race focused expansion with some buildups like the rebuilding of the spellbreakers.
Working in academic research, Astalor will forever remind me of certain jackass supervisors who have 0 skills in mentorship being given the role just because they had a few decent scientific publications out of luck from the groups and systems they worked with, forever keeping good students from realising their potential and correcting their paths when necessary.
I would like nothing more than to see them burn in felfire.
