You grab the gorm, but then grab the tea quest and talk to Tubbins and are phased into a “vehicle” so your gorm is now gone. But, while you are in the tea quest phase, there are warnings popping up cycling through all the gorm names telling you to hurry as the gorms you did not pick are getting restless.
Then you go to turn in the tea quest as it says to meet Prince Renethal under the bridge, so you hustle over there in your mini-game Tubbins form, but you can’t interact with him so you click to leave the “vehicle” and are transported to the top of the bridge again and have to run back to Renathal.
I pick up a new gorm, and I know I clicked Stinky, but somehow I end up with Bubbles at the end when it’s grown, so you don’t get the correct one. I also realize at this point the announcements are most likely for everyone in the entire area returning their gorm, which is confusing and obnoxious.
Finished “wrath of the party herald” while flying around but I have so many quests tracked, I’m not really sure I’m done, but nothing is tracking for me as I’m bombing. Typically the other quests will automatically start flying you back once you’ve completed the objective, so the behavior is different. It’s fine if you have to pay attention but the behavior is inconsistent with other similar quests in the game, which leads me to believe it is bugged (since there are a lot currently).
During the end of the assault, when you go through the four mirrors to Revendreth to redirect them, if you are in combat when you run back through the third mirror going clockwise, you fall down a cliff in Revendreth rather than back into the Maw… and have to either hearth or use an engineering portal to get back to the area if you’re not lucky enough to have a grappling method across the chasm.
I experienced all these bugs and an even worse one. I completed the tasks, saw the cutscene where Gothra dies, and then Prince Renathal does not offer completion when I talk to him. He and the two other NPCs only offer passive dialogue. I exited game and when I relogged, Gothra and the Prince were gone although I was still on their platform. No option to abandon and restart. I opened a ticket.

I’m glad to hear I’m not alone. I hope you figure it out! Out of curiosity, did you check your bags or mail to see if you received the cache? I’m trying to think back but I don’t think I had to turn anything in at the end and it seemed odd how it autocompleted. I stood around for a long time figuring it out. The UX for this assault felt very clunky and inconsistent with other similar things in the game.
if you accidentally click on General Draven before turning in the quests, you get flown up top and both NPCs despawn. you can’t turn in the quests to trigger the final stage of the assault (mirrors aren’t interactive) and if you run back down there’s nobody there. I was able to fix it by hearthing and then running back.

There is also one of the big “friendly” NPCs who throws you to the ground to apparently troll kill the character. It DCed my game several times the moment the character landed on the ground. It may be simpler to just not talk with him and walk through the teleporter instead, but 5 DCs in a row is over the top for punishing.

What’s even worse, the bug my warrior is caught in, auto disconnects me from the game when my character is thrown off the highest platform by one of the giants during the Venthyr assault. My character is suppose to land safely on the ground, however, I get disconnected instead just before landing. I’ve already submitted the bug on this forum. I’m unable to play my warrior at all until this bug is fixed.

Give this stuck character service a try via the link at the end of this article. If they don’t fix the bug soon, at least you can hopefully move to a safe location in the meantime!
I was in the Venthyr Assault tonight. I went through the red portal door, like I’d done 3 times before, but it didn’t work this time, and instead killed me and sent me to Revendreth…yes, Revendeth. It sent me to a completely different part of the game. It took forever to figure out how to get back to the battle inside the cut scene in the maw. Man, the glitches on this patch are crazy.

Just happened to me, waited a little to try to log in again after several tries. Last time landed and died but at least i was able to play with my monk again.
my favourite part of playing today was running back through the mirrors but having aggro and dying. now im just staring at my screen wondering if i even bother to finish the assault
