Hello Alliance,
I am Momma of the Horde. I was wondering if you would like to discuss the state of PvP on our server. I know it’s kind of dumb to mention PvP on a PvE server especially with BG’s not out yet.
World PvP doesn’t appeal to me since it really seems like it’s a numbers game. Whoever has the most usually wins. The point of this post is to bring some of the people on the server who do PvP on both sides together to discuss a way to make this more fun and entertaining. For example, I have heard comments on the horde side that the horde push too hard at Southshore ruining PvP. Again I believe this is a numbers disadvantage.
Is there something we can do to fix this? For the people that do attempt to PvP on this server, do you have any suggestions on how we can improve the PvP scene? Is the PvP scene fine? THIS IS NOT A TROLL POST! It is an honest attempt at improving world PvP and server health. At least till BG’s come out.
I was thinking of designating an area where we can stage some 5v5 or 10v10? Discussing or trying to organizing times to meet up to PvP. Start up a tournament? I am not interested in win trading and this is all for fun, bragging rights and server reputation. One of the best things about Classic is that here, your name actually means something. Let’s call a truce and try to limit the trolling and offer some ideas and suggestions here so we can slay each other on the battlefield. I would like to mainly discuss it here in this post but feel free to message me in game as well.

I like that you are thinking outside of the box. I honestly don’t mind SS world pvp- it’s fun even though we are almost always outnumbered.

maybe try to get a server wide gurubashi free for all?
There’s also the Dire Maul arena iirc. Less wandering people to disrupt the event.
I tried to get spark up interest but got shot down because everyone pointed out that BG’s are coming soon. However, I’m still up for trying to put something together if there is interest. I mean, world PvP is not that fun in my opinion.

I just rolled an ally alt with some friends from my shaman’s server. I think this is something that can be coordinated!! I’ll keep you posted!! (My ally alt is only level 6 xD)
I have been thinking on re-rolling to this server as Alliance but I would like to know the state of alliance numbers. I know this seems kind of silly to ask in a pve server, but coming from Thalnos where we as horde absolutely dominate, it is just depressing not seeing anyone from the opposing faction.
I was looking at the other pve servers for east coast and they seem all to be heavily alliance favored. I don’t want to have the same experience I’m having on Thalnos.
On the other hand, I also don’t want to be the only alliance in amidst a sea of horde, even if this is pve.
Is it easy to find groups for dgs as ally? Some census sites give that the split is as bad as 75-25 which I would not be ok with, whilst others give the split as more near 60-40, which I would be ok with.
I rolled ally here. Haven’t had problems finding a guild or groups.

I think this server is probably 60/40 or so as far as horde vs alliance numbers… I see lots of alliance while I am questing and horde as well. I think this is a great server.
The only hard thing is finding a tank for dungeons so roll a tank if you want to find dungeons easily!
Heartnurse I didn’t think you were shooting me down. When I tried to talk about it in game chat people said to just wait for bg’s.
As far as this server goes its definitely horde dominate. So if you are thinking of coming here please consider the Alliance. Again, not because they are bad, because they need more people.
Now, with all that being said, I’m concerned for “Classic” in general. I think the population in general is just going to keep declining. There is just only so much you can do in this game.
Momma, don’t let anyone in the way of your initiative! It takes time, it’s not easy but there’s alot of people who wants like you to have Mankrik be the best server around!
