exactly. It didn’t turn neutral. It was destroyed. The signs are there that the alliance elves will be granted partial ownership of all of Quel’thalas. That is much worse then the place just being removed. And right now the alliance owns Bel’ameth since all services, portals, boat route and the hearthstone are not accessible as Horde player. Are you just ignorant or don’t you understand why the blood elf community will suffer from this?
In all fairness, there aren’t really any signs anywhere. We’re basically just being doomers about where things could go because we have no faith they’ll actually do The Horde justice in a story (justifiably so, imo).
The new art piece implies Silvermoon will be invaded at the very least. I’m noticing the void entities are unlike void things we’ve fought in the past, in that they actually have faces and wear fully articulated gold gauntlets. Could just be generic void wraith thingies that are getting an asset update, or could be something new and unique, like voidfallen elves or something.
Dude are you dense? They have been writing the lore exclusivley for the alliance since Legion at least. They can’t make blood elves the focus when Alleria, Turalyon and their son exist. We will be reduced to sidekicks on our own land yet again.
My mistake. I forgot who I was talking to and obviously should not have expected you to actually understand what I said.
You said there aren’t any signs for bad things to happen. My argument is that we have past expansions to proof that Blizzard usually goes the route everyone hates.
Dalaran was Alliance since Warcraft 2 and it became neutral in Wrath. Dont worry your pretty little head Erevien because Blizzard generally does like to make mirrors when it comes to cities. If Silvermoon becomes neutral I expect that Shiny new Draenei capital they teased for the Heritage quest to go neutral.(after all these two are the mirrors races to one another)
Dalaran was neutral since the start. Silvermoon has been Horde for 18 years now. And even if Dalaran opened up for Horde NPCs most citizens were still humans. What we face here is the first city faction switch since inception of the game and all bloodelf and Horde players have every right to be angry about it.
Reminder not to feed the trolls
for some reason Blizzard caters to people like Zerde and all Horde players suffer from it.
I would say the blood elves even going Horde was to cater to the Horde because without the blood elves the Horde player pop would collapse.
Blizzard doing work so one of the faction doesn’t die? Oh no the horror! Alliance fans really hate equality in a TWO faction game.
Oh I fully understand why Blizzard did it. Having said that Blizzard also knows the elves history with the Alliance, hence why we now have void elves/void elves that look normal.
just because high elves were with the old alliance in Warcraft 2 doesn’t meant the alliance has a patent on elves in general now. We got Nightborne and undead elves too remind you.
And I dont particular care about that(not to mention we also have undead elves in the Alliance). Having said that, clearly Silvermoon has a shared history between the factions. Hence why its being centered as one.
the blood elves are Horde. Why should they become neutral just to cater to like 5 vocal high elf fanatics? 18 years of faction loyalty leave a mark. Not just the Forsaken or Nightborne but the rest of the team too.
I dont think blood elves will be neutral. However Silvermoon elves are by and large cross factional.
No they are not. It is currently pvp flagged for the Horde. This can only change if the current leaders are willing to let it slide that Vereesa and Umbric harmed us before for the sake of forced neutrality and gameplay reasons. If we flood Silvermoon with high elf RPers it will effectivley ceace to be a race capital and turn into an expansion hub. And it would be the very first precedence in all of WOW history.
City doesn’t seem all that destroyed to me in that picture. Not noticing any rubble or debris. Looks more like an attack on the city.
That said I’ve been of the opinion since we learned about Midnight that people upset over the idea of Silvermoon going neutral were counting their eggs before they hatched, that the city might end up reduced to rubble.
If it is destroyed, I wonder where we’ll end up for a base? The smart money would be on Quel’Danas, acting as a last line of defense for the Sunwell while trying to reclaim Quel’Thalas, but then Blizzard couldn’t reuse the Sunwell for a raid, and Blizzard does enjoy recycling.
New worst case scenario: the Kirin Tor constructs a city/fortress within the boundaries of Quel’Thalas.
A more important question in my mind is, just how many Blood Elves are going to die in this theoretical assault in Silvermoon that may or may not destroy the city? Is Blizzard going to justify adding a High Elf allied race by going, “Yeah, now there are about the same amount of Blood Elves as High Elves and so we don’t have a reason not to include them anymore,” with a cheeky little wink, as if population numbers ever mattered to begin with?
I could see this, “elven reunification,” storyline being based on the idea that the Blood Elves are so decimated numbers wise it’s literally join hands or go extinct. Which, to be fair, is perhaps a bit more palatable than the alternative. A grudging, reluctant, wary reunification would feel less gag-inducing than a happy hug and singing kumbuyah.
At least try before you sputter and flail your usual fake Horde fan spiel.
