Whilst I can understand that different talent builds need some definable identity, the talent ‘Maneuverability’ is just so useful, FUN and tactical that it should be baseline for all specs. Chronowarden and Flameshaper would benefit IMMENSELY from this addition. The number of times my character has got stuck on a small rock or obstacle when flying in a straight line that has negatively impacted my DPS is uncountable - whilst with steered flight this problem is largely negated.
Looking back at Dragonflight and the evolution of Evoker since, this would make perfect sense as it becomes adopted as a baseline to further advance the class’s playability, and popularity.

I personally agree because manuverability offers so much more flexability. No more “no path available” issues and no minimum range.
I have to agree. Maneuverability makes Deep Breath/Eons infinitely better to use, it’s a huge improvement over the usual version, and it shouldn’t be stuck in a hero talent tree, maybe even add maneuverability to the class tree, when dropping the “Recall” talent.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Chronowarden go uptuned and Scalecommander got nerfed again next season but being able to control the breath attack is such a fundamental improvement it’s very difficult to give that up. Big agree
I could not agree more. Objectively, Maneuverability is simply how Deep Breath should have been controlled from the very beginning.
Replace it with something like a 15 second lower CD (or 5-10% more damage) for Deep Breath/Breath of Eons in the Scalecommander tree. Just a little token in place of the steering to imply that hero tree’s supposed to be using the ability more.
Without it, every time you press Deep breath you roll a 1d4 dice. 1. You die in unexpected AOE, congrats. 2. You flew over too long and lowered your dps. 3. You DC, and probably die as well. 4. Error message, ruined your dps. lol jk on you, lizard.
Actually an easy fix is to have a talent choice node at the end of the talent tree so you can choose fixed or directed flying modes.
