Because if running out of mana was meaningless then you might as well just delete mana…It’s a resource, either manage it right or get punished by having to wait 30 seconds.
Like what do you want? For mages to be able to aoe pull the whole zone and then not even have to stop for a 30 second drink? Just “ok on to the next aoe pull.”
I am all for blizzard giving you options for better mana regen, as long as that option takes a rune slot.
otherwise why are we bothering with runes at all just buff everything on every class 'til a level 25 classic character is equivalent to a max level retail character
Drinking forever after every 2 pulls if you want to use your fun abilities is not.
This is insane. This is like calling shooting a bow and arrow in minecraft “using your fun abilities” and all the mining and gathering and survival is just getting in the way…
Meanwhile physical classes do way more damage and all of their abilities with almost no down time.
Because (except for druids) melee classes use their hp while leveling. That’s the thing holding them back from killing mob after mob after mob.
says someone who has not played a warrior in classic, that down time is nothing to aspire to: (kill one mob bandage, eat, kill one mob, eat, kill one mob, bandage, eat…etc)
That makes no sense. The mage is pulling 10 mobs and killing them all together in 10 seconds. The warrior takes 10 times as long to kill that many mobs.
God forbid the mage has to drink a little water…that might slow him down slightly!
Nobody cares about raids outside of the WoW devs and the forum users.
The other 95+% of players don’t care about raiding. It’s a little side game for people who are too scared to pvp. Most players didn’t even hit max level back in the day let alone step into a raid.
I would say most people care about raids. And I’m only asking for mana regen buffs in raids. I understand why mana recovery needs to be slower in the world, but there isn’t really a reason that mages and non-warlock casters have to drink so much while physical classes get to keep going and do way more dps in raids.
All I want is a way to recover mana quickly between trash pulls in raids. If I did more dps than warriors with full mana in a raid, then maybe that’s unreasonable. But mage dps is very mediocre and shouldn’t be forced to drink all the time if they want to even try and do competitive damage.
Well casters got cucked in a few different ways in SoD. The magic resist, the level cap being 25. I agree they feel too weak in BFD, but you don’t need to overall the mana system.
And if you’re running out of mana between trash pulls in raids it’s because you’re bad. Or because there’s too much trash. Like right before Kelris I think there are a few too many mobs, I ran out of mana the first time cause I didn’t expect 30 friggin mobs in a row.
But the second time I didn’t run out of mana. Like, you can literally just wand for most of your dps on trash pulls. Maybe throw in a fireblast or frost nova here and there.
so your answer is to do 30-40 dps, while physical gets do do 150-250 dps without having downtime. Do you see where my problem lies? I want to be able to go all out like physical does. It’s not like when I do, I’m doing 3x their dps.
