Mana does suck, we should all just have rage. My love for shaman consists largely of hatefully punching stuff down as I refuse to drink ever.
Not feasible. So you dont actually play a mage. You just look up random talents and think thats the answer
Lol using a wand is awesome. Try it sometime
Main mage through all of Classic. I know exactly what youāre going through. If I were playing a Mage in SoD, not having access to Mage Armor, Iād be speccing into mana talents and grinding rep for the WSG staff.
Phase 3 is going to add mage tables as a rune with like the same cost as an epic mount but at 50ā¦ and Iām going to pay for it.
And youāre gonna love it
Mate your a Mage, Donāt do single pulls, you can pull 10+ things and kill them for the same mana.
Hereās an interesting idea I just though up. Because I was once a monk on Retailā¦ We were granted healing orbs or bubbles after a kill. So instead of mana potsā¦ why not add mana orbs/bubbles one can walk through in order to recharge. This would create a more fluent moving game without having to sit down and drink manaā¦
This same thing could be used for warriors, etc, where when you kill something, it āpoofsā up a rage or healing bubble thus you can continue moving forward.
its simply not fun to not be able to play the game because some game mechanic requires you to afk for 20 seconds.
the entire conversation should end here, but because people are so blinded by rose tinted glasses, they will defend an old, badly designed developer choice.
Gee, youāre level 25 with few talent options, what did you expect? Youāll be getting mage armor in the next phase and it helps a LOT. Youāll also be able to talent into mana reduction etc.
Relax, the sky is still above you ā¦
do you want evo on a 30 second cooldown or what?
a fantastic ideaā¦ for retail
I disagree with you. āNEXTā.
Time is limited, its one of the few things you cant get more of. Keepingg this in mind, it makes sense why the majority prefers fast dungeons, the faster you complete the dungeon, the more dungeons you can run per day.
Mind breaking concept i know
People also recognize that the quality of time spent is important.
Without wall to wall pulls, theres a chance to chat, to say āman I was getting worried back there!ā āNice polymorph during that pullā
Little chances to talk. To spend time with friends, to get to know strangers. I donāt wanna mindlessly run 5 dungeons super quickly if theyāre all silent with no talking, Iād rather spend more time doing fewer if it means planning pulls with people or just chatting with folks.
Its a video game, and Iām getting older. I just wanna enjoy the little moments.
I have no desire to play retail where mana pool is irrelevant. Whatās even the point of the bar then?
You can always cast fewer spells and finish enemies with wanding for less drinking, but I guess it comes down to the same thing, in classic killing things faster when levelling is a question of managing your resources rather than really executing a rotation, which means you press less buttons.
I donāt think itās a universal truth though that people must find a repetitive grind where you press more buttons per minute more fun than a repetitive grind where you press less buttons. Because in the end itās pretty repetitive either way.
āI need everything right away because my dad never punished me for bad behavior!ā -Irendyn
Did you stop leveling at 25 and do retail-style raids for 2 months last time?
No? Didnt think so.
